Pilates master trainer and certified yoga trainer Marianna Szoke has developed a new DVD that focuses specifically on the spine called Spine Balance Training. Szoke also owns and operates the Body & Soul Wellness centers located in Las Vegas, Nevada and Europe. The Spine Balance Training DVD works to help you slow the effects made on your body by a busy lifestyle. This DVD focuses on easing wear and tear on the joints and bones with specific attention paid to the spinal column. Some of the included exercises can help you avoid pain in your back, neck and shoulders. You can also increase your energy levels and reduce stress throughout your body.

EXERCISE
The Spine Balance Training DVD focuses on using Pilates, Tai Chi and yoga to aid in body posture and reduce the effects of stress on your joints, bones and spinal column. The total time of the workout is 43 minutes. You will be doing standing work for 27 minutes and then mat work for 16 minutes. There is a voice over for all of the instructions on this DVD. This is undoubtedly so that exercises can understand the moves. Szoke is originally from Hungary and she has a noticeable accent. She performs all of the moves while the voice over gives you the cues and instructions. Unfortunately, the cues don’t always match up with Szoke’s moves. This can lead to some confusion for those watching the video. The video quality is not great, but the moves are effective. For those that are more advanced, this workout may be too basic.
CONCLUSION
If you want a Pilates based workout that has elements of yoga and Tai Chi throughout, Spine Balance Training could be a helpful DVD for you. Although the quality is not superior, the moves are solid and effective. Szoke is an expert in her field and passes on that knowledge to those that can’t travel to her studios in Las Vegas.
