Everything within The Sugar Blockers Diet is designed to reduce blood sugar spikes that produce sharp increases of insulin. Some of the tips that will help you do this are:
- Have a fatty snack before your meal
- Start your meal with a salad
- Eat some vinegar
- Include pectin with your meal
- Nosh on lightly cooked vegetables
- Sip a glass of wine with dinner
- Save sweets for dessert only
- Move your body
Following these tips will help slow down how fast starches and carbohydrates are absorbed as well as slow down digestion. This can reduce blood sugar spikes after a meal by 30 percent or more. Over time this type of reduction can help aide in weight loss, reduce insulin demands, prevent and treat diabetes, prevent heart disease and reverse prediabetes. Along with the helpful tips in the book about slowing down blood sugar spikes, there are plenty of recipes. Below are just a few of those highlighted in The Sugar Blockers Diet:
- Nutty Brownies
- Mixed Berry Shortcakes
- Carrot Cupcakes
- Sausage Pizza
- Buffalo Chili
- Classic Cobb Salad
- Layered Bean Dip
Exercise is also an excellent sugar blocker according to The Sugar Blockers Diet. In fact exercise is named as the best sugar blocker of all. When you exercise, your muscles replenish their energy stores, so each cell that’s worked out begins to make glucose transporters. While cells are making those transporters, they also open up channels that allow glucose in. To reduce sugar spikes, it is recommended that you take a walk after eating a meal. This shows that your workout doesn’t have to be strenuous or high intensity to make a difference.
The Sugar Blockers Diet can be a great option for weight loss as well as controlling blood sugar and keeping other weight related diseases at bay. This book has everything you need to get results quickly without giving up the foods you love. The program focuses on the importance of slowing down the effects foods have on your blood sugar levels while also equipping you with the ability to eat at restaurants, at home or at special events.

?WHY DID THIS DOC WRITE A "COPY CAT" VERSION OF THE" SUGAR BUSTERS" DIET? DO WE NEED ANOTHER ANTI-SUGAR DIET? THIS SOUNDS LIKE A "COPY CAT" VERSION OF "SUGAR BUSTERS DIET" THAT HAS BEEN OUT SINCE THE 80'S AND IS A PROVEN DIET FOR DIABETICS AND THOSE OF US WHO WANT TO LOSE WEIGHT- ****QUESTION-WHY WOULD ANYONE WANT TO TRY SOMETHING THAT JUST CAME OUT AND IS NOT EVEN TESTED BY MANY PEOPLE! (SUGAR BUSTERS WAS ALSO WRITTEN BY 4 MD'S AND REALLY WORKS!) THE CONCEPT IS ESSENTIALLY THE SAME!
