Are A&W Fast food restaurants closing in Canada & USA?

BUMMER! Are they closing in canada as well. They have the best fast food poutine!

The teen burger blows anything McDonalds makes away, but they've started making them smaller, and their fries suck, so I always get onion rings. A&W is my favorite place, if they shut down I'll probaly just eat at home.
Lacy's speculations betray a lack of marketing knowledge, added to what sounds like a healthy investment in Subway stock. A&W's failure, if it occurs, could be due to any number of factors besides the public desire to eat light. How is Sonic doing? Their model is pretty close to A&W's. Personally, the drive-through burger thing seems to be growing rather than shrinking. Now if only McD's could put back a few of the parking lot trash barrels, so they're not foisting their trash disposal issue onto everyone else.

I had my very first "fast food" hamburger at an A&W Drive-in near Oakville, Ontario in 1964. The waitresses would rollerskate out to your parked car and take your order(s). Then they would skate back out with it on a tray that hooked onto your partially rolled up window. The Root Beer and family of burgers was soo.. good, and the experience was memorable to say the least. In 2010, 180 miles north, I met a woman who was one of the waitresses. She loved A&W as much as the rest of us. Hope nothing bad ever happens to A&W in Canada.
A&W is different in the USA then it is in Canada. The USA items are not as good. We don't have teenburgers. I LOVE A&W in canada and eat it whenever i am there, but i never visit it here in the states. it's really gross.
They where bought out and its 2012 and there doning better than ever A&W will be around for a long time!
A&w was sold by yum but than got brought out there doing better than ever and its 2012 and there still here!
In Sarnia on ca they have a new owner and have been very disappointed will not go back
