Are peanuts good for dietbetics?

Well I am a Dietbitic and i was wondering if peanuts were good for a between Snack?
because i heard from Dr.oz he mentioned that nuts are good for you and it helps you lose weight, Is that true? Because i don't like Walnuts, What should i do to replace from Walnut to something else.
