Can eating to much sugur cause diabetes?

I like sugur containing foods. I have alot of sugur in coffee and I like sweet foods. I take in alot of sugur a day. I have a high family history of diabetes and I break out into a sweat when i eat or drink anything and sometimes I break out into a sweat when resting. I get real shakey and irritable when hungry or thirsty.
