Curves Smart Tag and Weightloss, am I doing it right?- ADVICE??

Brianna asked this question Mar 4th, 2012 6:37 pm

I have been doing curves since the end of January, and was measured a month after. At my measurement, I had gained 3 lbs, lost an inch in one place, but gained an inch elsewhere... AND the kicker, i managed to GAIN a whole percentage of body fat.. I felt so defeated, and still do. I have been going roughly 5-6 times a week, and REALLY doing the workout. The smart tag is a great way to stay motivated, and see that you burned A LOT of calories (seriously.. it says I burn an average of 400 cals in half an hour.. don't know if I believe this. ) If I am not at curves, I am jogging or playing competitive soccer. I will admit to eating junk, but nothing crazy. I have a fairly regular diet, and I figured going from doing absolutely nothing to hitting the gym 6 times a week would show major results.. ANY ADVICE!?!?!?!

Started curves two weeks ago. I work out 5 times a week.... And like you 1 have gained 3 pounds. I feel your pain:(. Everyone tells me muscle weighs more than fat. I have trouble believing that I gained that much muscle in two weeks. I hope some one can answer this question for us. Oh I to watch my diet.

I started 5 weeks ago and my story is identical to yours. I take small solace in the fact that I feel better than before I started going, but it is really demoralizing.

I too gained 3 lbs, lost 1 inch in my arms and 1 inch in my legs. i will admit i didnt actually start to diet until 5 weeks after i started so i have yet to see what my next weigh and measure is going to be like.

Me too - I've gained weight but admit to not eating very well. Starting CURVES Complete in February and hoping to lose weight. Sorry I can't be of more help but I can relate.

I joined and one month later had lost 5 pounds. I was a bit disappointed until they took my measurements. The biggest loss was 2.5 inches to my thighs. Obviously the rest was good as well but the thighs were the most significant. Love Curves and signed up for a year!
