does this diet cause excessive gas?

Since Weight Watchers does not have a pre-determined diet, pre-made meals, or a specific menu to follow, that's really up to you. You can eat just about anything you want within your PointsPlus target. If you choose foods then cause gas, then you'll know to avoid those in the future.
