What is the cost of the South Beach Diet program and product?

I am on a tight budget but, I would like to start the program.
On the South Beach diet do you get to select what food you eat or do you customize it for me. How many meals you get a day? How is payment made; installments or all at once. I just need more details about the program.

The South Beach Diet is actually fairly affordable. You can order the book, which is available from online or brick-and-mortar booksellers, often at a deeply discounted price. Since it's a book, you'll likely find it for free at your library, or very low price at a used book store. Another option is to follow the program via the online membership site. As of 8/18/11, from the SBD site, "Online membership is just $4 a week, billed quarterly (every 13 weeks)".
