Michael Danley is a high school teacher and football coach from Spencerville, Indiana. He cites a lack on consistent exercise and bad eat habits as the reasons that lead to his weight gain, in addition to using food as a means to cope with stress. He realized he had to make a big change to his lifestyle after his heart doctor asked him, "How many people (over 65) do you know that weigh 325 lbs? Unless you lose weight, you too will be a statistic." He auditioned for the Biggest loser with his brother, Rick. Michael also has two children, a daughter and a son. He looks forward to being able to run the "Peachtree 5K" race one day with his son and daughter-in-law in Atlanta.
