Make your own at home so that you can limit the high-calorie ingredients and take advantage of the ones that are full of nutrients. Herbs and spices common in Thai food like lemongrass, ginger and turmeric all have health benefits. Instead of making dishes that use starchy rice or noodles, pick dishes that are based on fruits, vegetables or seafood. When it comes to curries, limit the amount of vegetable oil and coconut milk to save calories. Maris recommends dishes like lobster salad and Tom Yum Gai.
