Saturday Morning Drill: Energy Booster

Downward facing dog is the perfect stretch to loosen up, especially after a long night's rest or sitting in an office chair all day.

To perform downward facing dog properly, get in plank position and then lift your rear up toward the ceiling. Inch your hands closer to your feet to make the stretch deeper.

You want to focus on stretching your shoulders, hamstrings and calves while keeping your shoulders loose and relaxed. Hold for 30 seconds or 1 minute for a deeper stretch. Repeat as many times as desired.
