When Kim Fines was at her heaviest, she felt so trapped inside her unhealthy body that change seemed nearly impossible. Weighing over 320 pounds, she felt depressed and anti-social. One day in January 2009, Kim decided to make the commitment to herself to find that change.

Without the aid of weight-loss surgery, Kim has lost 154 pounds. She got inspiration and advice from Jillian Michaels' Master Your Metabolism. Kim started avoiding processed foods and eating organic produce. She says the key to her success was setting mini goals, and rewarding herself with non-food treats, like massages. “I rewrote my life story,” Kim told DietsInReview.
