About Me:

I am 40 years old and since I have turned 40 I am not in menopause, my doctor says I have many years before because I had my blood work done. I have a horrible time sleeping at times though for no apparent reason. I am bloated on my usually flat stomach. No food allergies.. I eat mostly organic and vegetables. I work out and I am not overweight, I just feel bloated and have bad mood swings.. they're not good. I have a great career, I love what I'm doing, but there are some things in my life I'm not happy about. I can see since I turned 40 the difference, not horribly, but there is one and I worry and am very anxiety ridden. I refuse to go on any kind of anti depressants. I have seen them do some awful things to friends of mine.. I'm single, was engaged, no longer and actually happier living alone right now because he was a pain. I feel almost anti social unless I look perfect because of those awful magazines that make us all feel we look like crap compared to all those other women with money in Hollywood.. an

The goals I'm working toward:

  • Feeling really good, happier instead of moodier,
  • happy with my quality of life, have a good quality of life
  • have access to doctors that could help me with these things

I haven't felt comfortable with my weight since:

I am not uncomfortable with it, but I feel bloated .. not always, but it does happen.,

My favorite healthy food:

Kale, Brocolli, Tomatoes, Chard, I love greens... love vegetables so much. Pretty much all of them ..very big fan.

My guiltiest pleasure:

Twizzlers, Chocolate and 1 diet coke.. tastes amazing.. but it's only around that time of the month I want it.. otherwise I really don't like sweets.. I love red wine!

I'm inspired to live a healthy life because:

Without our health, we have nothing..we feel bad, we lose our self esteem, we are generally unhappy when that is the case.. I want to feel my best at all times. But there are things like my hair that look terrible since 40..not sure what is's terrible.

Healthy habits that work for me:

  • I take vitamins, about 15 a day
  • I eat healthy.. junk food makes me feel bad
  • I work out because it makes me feel good.

My favorite activity at the gym is:

Pilates and Yoga, free weights and the eliptor machine

The accomplishments I'm most proud of:

  • various awards for helping homeless people
  • the environment, going green and
  • earning my degree recently. I will be opening my own business soon.
