About Me:

I lost 100 pounds 30 years ago. I successfully maintained a healthy weight via something I have come to call Fitegic Planning. Simply put Fitegic Planning is a system of organizing your thoughts and actions in a way that supports not just weight LOSS, but MAINTAINING a life-long healthy weight.

The goals I'm working toward:

  • Helping others by teaching people the concepts of Fitegic Planning.
  • Maintaining a healthy weight.
  • Maintaining an activity and exercise regimen.

I haven't felt comfortable with my weight since:

As true for so many I was an overweight child through young adulthood. I cannot fully express here the profound benefit I have experienced maintaining a healthy weight - physically, psychologically, and spiritually.

My favorite healthy food:

Yogurt

My guiltiest pleasure:

Ice cream (I RARELY bring it into the house and instead go out for it as it can be a trigger food for me.)

I'm inspired to live a healthy life because:

My "meaningful why" has changed through the years. In this stage of my life (Empty Nester) it is meaningful to me to stay vital in order to fully engage in all life has to offer.

Healthy habits that work for me:

  • Creating and following my Fitegic Plan
  • Food/Exercise(Activity) Diary
  • Set minimum rather than a maximum for habitual food intake and exercise level (this has allowed me to be consistent rather than "burn out")

My favorite activity at the gym is:

I have utilized a gym - but not now. I follow an exercise program of cardio and strength training most days at home. Activities that I really enjoy are biking and hiking.

The accomplishments I'm most proud of:

  • Losing 100 pounds.
  • Maintaining a healthy weight.
  • Raising good men.
