About Me:

Wow... about me.... hmmm... I'm still trying to figure "me" out... :)

Right now, I'm enjoying the many blessings God has poured out on my life. I have a loving, godly husband who I love sooo much... amazing friends and family... and the cutest puppy one could ask for!

I used to think I had my life all figured out... what I was passionate about, what I would do with my life... Now I find myself in unfamiliar territory... and the future seems SO unclear... it's kinda scary actually... life-changing decisions about careers, family, TIME...it's all hitting me in the face right now... I'm almost 26 years old, and you would think I would have aleady figured most of this out... but, honestly I have NO clue what I'm doing... I just have to keep trusting in God - "Trust in the Lord with ALL your heart, and LEAN NOT onto your own understanding, but in ALL your ways acknowledge Him and He WILL make your paths straight!" Proverbs 3:5-6 That's what my heart is clinging to right now. I don't know if anyone else who

The goals I'm working toward:

  • Losing 35 pounds!!

I haven't felt comfortable with my weight since:

Well... honestly... I've never really been comfortable with my weight. However, I think for most of my life it was just in my mind. I was never really over-weight until the past few years. Don't get me wrong.. I've never been "thin," but I've never been big either.... at least not until now!!

I was 140 pounds when I got married four and a half years ago. I looked good at that weight. I'm sure I could have been maybe 10 pounds lighter, but 140 wasn't bad. However, after almots five years of marriage and being nice and HAPPY... my weight has climbed to 166 pounds!! EEK.... not good... especially since I am only 5'4-1/2" !

Anyway... so I am doing the Quick Weight Loss Center eating plan right now. I have lost over 6 pounds in the past week!!! HALLELUJAH!! At least I'm down to 159 now!! I'm out of the sixties!!

My goal would be to get to AT LEAST 135... but 130 would be even better!! :)

My favorite healthy food:

I LOVE LOVE LOVE diced cucumbers and tomatoes in balsamic vinegar.... it is SO SO SO GOOD... and has barely ANY calories!! Great little snack food! :)

My guiltiest pleasure:

hmmm... I like ice cream... but, I am staying FAR FAR away from this little guy for a while! :)

I'm inspired to live a healthy life because:

I want to feel better about myself!!

Also, I want to be healthy and livea long and happy life! I don't want to develop diabetes or heart disease or any other horrible sicknesses....

Healthy habits that work for me:

  • PLANNING AHEAD what I am going to eat each day!
  • Making sure that I have HEALTHY foods in the house!!
  • Reminding myself DAILY of my weight loss goals!! Picturing it in my mind helps me a lot!!

My favorite activity at the gym is:

I don't like to go to the gym.... I prefer walking in nature around my neighborhood!! :) Very peaceful and lots of fun for my dogs too!!

The accomplishments I'm most proud of:

  • Living my life for Jesus!
  • Marrying the most amazing man on the planet!!
  • making a decision to lose weight and STICK TO IT!! :)
