About Me:

I'm a 68-year-old male who lives in Greenville, North Carolina. I've lived here going on my 21st year. My weight is 151 lbs. 12 oz. at 5'9".

The goals I'm working toward:

  • 145 lbs.

I haven't felt comfortable with my weight since:

2007 when in March I weighed 222 pounds.

My favorite healthy food:

Apples
Oatmeal which I eat every morning two or three cups with only a combination of water and skim milk

My guiltiest pleasure:

Really overindulging during the Wednesday night suppers at St. Paul's Episcopal Church where I belong.

I'm inspired to live a healthy life because:

As a male, my life has good things in it that I don't want to give up.

Healthy habits that work for me:

  • I only drink water and coffee.
  • I enjoy walking.
  • I also enjoy exercising at Vidant Wellness Center, a division of the hospital, Vidant Medical Center, here in Greenville.

My favorite activity at the gym is:

Speed Walking on the outdoor track

The accomplishments I'm most proud of:

  • The Sierra Club group, Blue Ridge, I started when I lived in Boone, North Carolina, in the early 1970s.
  • Living here in Greenville where the people have been very good to me.
