About Me:

spent the majority of my life working in theater and film and loved it....
Currently health problems including obesity due to years of prednisone and inactivity. Joined Sparkpeople Sept 19 and so far lost 10 pounds counting calories and using their diet plan and limited walking for exercise.

The goals I'm working toward:

  • losing weight want to get back down to 150
  • eating 8 servings of fruits and vegetables
  • drinking at least 8 glasses of water

I haven't felt comfortable with my weight since:

I started gaining lots of weight steadily more and more over the years.

My favorite healthy food:

soup and salad

My guiltiest pleasure:


I'm inspired to live a healthy life because:

I no longer want to be dependent on medications. I want to be able to walk around and enjoy the things I used to like going to the zoo. I really miss doing that.

Healthy habits that work for me:

  • drink at least 8 glasses of water
  • eat lots of fruit and vegetables
  • limit portion sizes

My favorite activity at the gym is:

I do not go to the gym. I have fibromyalgia and arthritis in addition to obesity bad combination for daily pain. Hard to find gentle exercise to do. I am trying to walk more and build up my endurance.

The accomplishments I'm most proud of:

  • writing my poetry online
  • losing weight
  • researching to find holistic pain management
