I made this for my husband and I after watching the show it was awesome! I put this dish over rice noodles instead of rice, but I'm sure it would be good either way. I cooked the olives in my a little at the end. My Husband commented on he loved what the flavors did. You would be tasting chicken and mushrooms and then the tomatoes spice and olives would come in.. a good alternative to fatty italian meals.

Is the broccoli and rice included in the 300 calories per serving?

I've always done cacciatore over pasta but we really loved the variation on brown rice.

+Made this for dinner tonight! It was a HUGE hit!! Even my 18 year old son like all the veggies!! I put the broccoli in when I put the chicken back in the skillet; cooked just the right amount of time.

By the way, what DO YOU DO with the broccoli, it isn't mentioned anywhere in the recipe except for in the ingredients.??

+Made this tonight for the family. Hubby really liked it. He said while it wasn't huge on flavor that it was very tasty and he enjoyed it. I usually never hear this kind of thing from him, so this recipe is a keeper for us. Changes that I made were: subbed chicken broth for the red wine as I had none, and I also added a tablespoon or so of red wine vinegar to the broth. I omitted the olives and broccoli as I had neither and substituted about 1/2 teaspoon or so poultry seasoning for the thyme as I had none of that as well. Served over white rice as I didn't have time to cook up the brown. My 5 year old didn't really like this, but she's not a fan of spice and I was a bit heavy-handed with the pepper. She also is NOT fan of tomatoes and mushrooms. Overall all, I would serve this to company any day of the week! Thanks!

+I saw this on Biggest Loser last night, and I knew I had to make this for dinner! The only thing I changed is that I substituted 1 medium zucchini for the broccoli. It is so delicious!
