Coleen’s Biggest Loser Recap 7-10

Last week on The Biggest Loser, we were left waiting to hear the result of whether Mike had lost enough weight to win immunity for all the contestants. With eleven pounds lost, Mike has kept everyone safe.

The night wasn’t over though, Ali has everyone meet her at the courtyard for a pop challenge. The winner of the pop challenge will have the fate of the game in their hands. The yellow line is being thrown out the window because it’s face off week. Meaning, the contestants are going one on one in the weigh-in. In order for your team to be safe from elimination, you need to beat the person you are against. The first team to get to three points wins the weigh-in.

Winning the pop challenge gives you the power to decided which players will compete on the scale. Doing wall-sits with a medicine ball in your lap is terror for your leg muscles. When it came down to it, we saw Tara and Mandi battling it out for complete control of the game. As Mandi begins to slip, Tara stays strong winning the challenge. Tara has the tough decision of pairing up the players in order to assure points for her team.biggest loser black team

At a 24-Hour Fitness center, Ali met the players for a relay race to remember. In the race there are a series of stops starting in the pool, running up the stairs, crawling belly down in an army crawl and finishing with squats. Meanwhile, the players were carrying 24 medicine balls back and forth until the race was done. Winning 24 hours of luxury was the black team. While being pampered, the black team made a handful of poor choices. Drinking and smoking to eating foods that are in no way healthy.

Even with Jillian’s team making bad decisions they still won this week’s weigh-in. With three points for the black team, blue team heads to the elimination room. I thought it was pretty clear who the blue team was sending home. But, when the votes came in, Mandi had a change of heart in her vote, which ultimately sent her home. She’s doing fabulously! Mandi is incorporating the knowledge she learned on the ranch into her everyday life. The incredible shrinking Mandi is looking forward to the finale where she plans to wear a size two dress.

I was so excited when Mike lost enough weight to keep everyone another week! Does anyone know what Kristen’s medical issue is? It kept her out of two challenges and this was the first I had heard of it.

Chris says:

I’m sad that Mandi went home. The blue team made a bad decision, now they aren’t going to be able to win any challenges for sure! She was the strongest one! I thought Ron should have gone home. He is consistently the lowest loser and really cannot help the team win challenges. The blue team keeps making their team weaker and weaker. Plus, Kristen can’t even compete in challenges! Now what!?

webgoddess says:

I’d have voted Ron off. Somehow he manipulates his way into staying week after week. They come into the room after weigh-in to discuss everything that Ron’s the first one to pipe up about who they should send home. It’s like he’s the big dad and everyone just falls into alignment with whatever he says. I don’t think he’s bad like Vicky or Heba was last season, but he certainly knows how to play “the game” for his own self-preservation.

The original blue team is really sticking together…by the time we get to individuals it will probably be just them.

Angela says:

I agree with Webgoddess!

I totally called ALL week that Mikey was going to pull it off. He just put his big boy britches on and tore it up. If you notice Mikey was also the one who pulled through that temptation the best. This kid is like Kae but male (and taller!)..

I was really disappointed in my black team for how they acted on the temptation and honestly they deserved to lose. 🙁 However, sometimes the cards don’t fall like they should.

I think that Ron has that Blue Team on lockdown, but really he only has one more week like that because after Aubrey is gone there is no way Kristin/Cathy are going to vote each other off.

It really comes down to, “When do we go to singles?” and “Can Ron last that long?” Because we know with Mandy gone blue won’t win a single challenge now.

p.s. OMG IS THAT REESE?!

Chris says:

I agree, Ron needs to go. He should have gone instead of Mandi. He can bearly keep up with any of the challenges. The pop challenge, he was the first one out and Mandi lasted the longest. I hate how he decides who “needs” to be there and who needs to go home. And stupid Kristen and Cathy follow him. He seems like a nice man and all but he should have been gone.

I want to know too what is wrong with Kristen. Medical reasons??

Michelle says:

No mention of the Filipe/Jillian business?

Mike is such a role model. He is a true leader with a huge heart. I am so impressed and inspired by him every week. What a class act!

tony says:

blue team is playing this in such a stupid way . these weak 3 person safty groups never last till the end , dane was a power house, mandi and aubrey were tough and doing there part. yes cathy is older but she is weak, ron yes i feel bad he`s injered but he doesnt even seem to be trying anymore, he used to get emotinal when his loss was low but now he just shrugs his slolders with that oh- well look on his face.
i think he`s milking that injered knee and mooching his time on the ranch.
when it goes to singels that team is screwed black team is powerfull and blue keeps sending all the top competiters home.

they wont last when that yeoolw line comes back!

Coleen says:

Hey guys- I found this out from Ali Sweeney’s blog on NBC.com…
“Kristin was sidelined from the challenges because she hurt her back. She was still able to work out, but I think Dr H felt it was better to be cautious where the challenges were concerned.”
