How the New Charlie’s Angels Keep Fit and Trim

With every fall season comes an onslaught of new television shows that hope to gain your interest as a viewer. One of the most anticipated shows is a remake of an old television classic, Charlie’s Angels.

When looking at a show like this, one can’t help but wonder what the stars do to stay fit. The new version of the show stars Minka Kelly, Rachael Taylor and Annie Ilonzeh and is based in Miami. Each of the characters has a back story that includes a lifestyle of physical fitness, so it’s only fitting to look at what the actresses that play them do to stay in shape.

Minka Kelly often speaks about her fitness regimen. She trains with celebrity personal trainer Gunnar Peterson. She recently revved up her fitness routine specifically for this role. One of her fitness secrets is standing ab work using weights. Her workouts include helpful toning exercises with weights that work the entire body and puts in time on the treadmill doing an interval running routine to get her heart pumping. As far as nutrition goes, Minka tries to eat a sensible diet that includes egg whites and oatmeal for breakfast, a salad with protein for lunch and fish and veggies for dinner. Since she believes you should not deprive yourself, once in a while Minka will indulge in a cheeseburger with fries.

Rachael Taylor has made it known that she values her body so she takes care of it through staying active, eating good food and not eating too much. She occasionally goes to the gym and also loves going for a run in the morning.

When in the gym, Rachael does toning exercises using free weights. For her diet, Rachael is a proponent of moderation. She doesn’t believe in any diet that can’t be maintained for the rest of your life. Her diet might consist of oatmeal and yogurt for breakfast, coffee and some fruit midmorning, a grilled piece of fish with salad for lunch, nuts with herbal tea and veggies in the afternoon and some sort of protein with bread for dinner. Rachael believes that 90 percent of the time your body will tell you what nutrients it needs so that you can indulge 10 percent of the time in whatever you want.

Annie Ilonzeh has an athletic background to go along with her athletic build. Her previous workout goal was to be big and powerful in order to play basketball well. Now she focuses on staying lean and toned. Annie goes to the gym a minimum of four to five days each week. Her preference is to go once a day because working out makes her feel sexier and prettier. Annie is known as the athletic one in the group and she mentions her passion of athletics when speaking about the action sequences associated with this new role.

All of the new Angels have their way of staying in top shape for their new series. Their fitness and diet routines are a prime example of taking care of your body without going to extremes.
