Sodium causes your body to hold more water and as a result, you are more susceptible to kidney stones and high blood pressure, among other health problems. This also contributes to water weight and prevents your body from looking, weighing and feeling its best.
In a large study conducted by Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School, following a lower salt diet resulted in a 25 percent reduced risk for heart disease and stroke.
