Although opera singers are often stereotyped as voluptuous, Olivia Ward feels that she hasn’t been chosen for roles because of her weight. She studied vocal performance at the University of Alabama, and received her master’s degree in opera performance at the New England Conservatory of Music. After being diagnosed with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), Olivia says she “completely gave up” and let her weight get out of control. Today, things are looking up and she’s ready to shed pounds and become a healthy person. Olivia was a casting pick of season 5’s Brittany Aberle.
