The 1st Personal Diet is a customized diet plan that is based upon your own blood tests. Here is how it works: You have a lab perform a blood sample and the results get sent to the doctors at the 1st Personal Diet. They evaluate your results and create a diet plan just for you.
While the diet will vary from individual to individual, it will not include any diet pills or exotic foods that you must take in order to lose weight. The 1st Personal Diet promises to help you lose weight quickly and effectively without counting calories or protein grams.
The 1st Personal Diet program lasts about 12 weeks.
Includes foods that are normally found in your kitchen and pantry
Diet includes a variety of foods
Blood test might alert you to any health markers for cardiovascular disease, hypertension or diabetes
CON
No inclusion of weight or BMI as part of the assessment
No exercise plan given
DIET and NUTRITION
Once your results are evaluated, you will receive a 12-week diet plan that includes what you should eat based upon your blood test results. The 1st Personal Diet is broken up into four phases, the last one being the "Refeeding" stage where you slowly introduce "bad foods" back into your diet without the risk of weight gain.
You don't have to worry about buying special foods or supplements. The 1st Personal Diet only suggests meals and snacks that are easily found in your grocery store.
EXERCISE
You will not receive a specific exercise plan as part of your customized 1st Personal Diet. Rather, you are encouraged to maintain your regular exercise program or if you are overweight, start one once you have completed the 12-week program.
CONCLUSION
The 1st Personal Diet is 12-week program that develops a diet for you based upon your blood tests. While diets like the Blood Type Diet have not been looked at favorably by the medical community, the 1st Personal Diet evaluates your blood for health markers and creates a diet accordingly. But since the evaluation does not include your weight, height, BMI or weight loss goals, its validation as an effective diet cannot be substantiated.

I love this lifestyle! And let me clear, it's a LIFESTYLE you cannot do this as a diet, it is a complete and total overhaul of the way you eat...forever! I lost 36 kg in 5 months and never felt better. 3 years later I'm still following the principals and maintaining my weight. It gets 10/10 from me.

Trinity, I am sure you are confusing this diet with the Blood group book on the market. Dr Cohen's diet is personalised and has no reference to blood group/type at all. It is two total different diets. Have a nice day.

both my inlaws and best friend have undertaken this diet and have all had GREAT success in a short period of time. It is legitimate and they highly recommend it! Every ones diet is different so there is no book for it and all assessed via blood tests

?
Where do I find this the 1st personal diet book?
what is it called and is the author legitimate?
My husband followed this diet a few years ago, after being told about it by a neighbor who was on the diet and had dropped a lot of weight. Results were amazing!! He borrowed the book from our neighbor, which outlined each blood type very carefully and gave a list of foods that work well with your particular blood type, as well as a list of the foods that work against it.
I just wanted to clarify one point. When you apply to be accepted into the program, you have to fill out a personal assessment, which includes age, weight, height, and shoe size. Yes I agree it is weird, but that is what it include. They also ask you about your current exercise habits. Or just moving habits period. s. So they do take into consideration your BMI. Very legitimate. And it works!
