I am on Day 5 of Phase 1 and have already lost 6.6 pounds! I feel a little better and am beginning to have energy again to exercise. I love all of the foods and am enjoying cooking again. I was glad to give up cokes and bacon-addicted to them but they were making me sick.
posted Jan 10th, 2018 2:30 pmI'm looking forward to completing the 40 days, then macontonuing with a mix of this diet and the Dash diet!

+I am a 29 year old female, that for the past 20 months has been chronically ill; daily symptoms include: nausea and vomiting, moderate to severe pain in lower abdomen and joints, diarrhea or constipation, headaches, hot flashes and night sweats. I have been to over 7 doctors and had every test, scope, scan, and pharmaceutical "treatment" known to medicine. No results, just getting worse. One week ago today I started on the Maker's Diet and began taking Primal Defense (SBO) in a desperate attempt for healing. For the first time in a long time I have found some relief and can honestly say that I feel hopeful that God will heal me. I still don't know why I have been so sick. I am sure it is part of His greater plan. Maybe my testimony is supposed to help others find His healing. PRAISE GOD!!!

+First this is not a diet its a lifestyle! It teaches you to eat a better diet! More organic fruits and veggies, less meat, and NO processed foods. Its a back to the basics life style! I modified the diet to fit me. (I couldn't eat the dirt!) It still worked I lost 50lbs!

No need to contact a local Seventh Day Adventist church for this diet, unless you want to be fed a lot of manufactured soy products with additives that are as harmful to you. Stay away from the canned and frozen, et all soy products they promote. Stick with the book.

Of course, the "Maker's Diet" is based on what G-d told the Jewish people to do. It is wonderful that Jordan Rubin has helped so many people with his diet. It would behoove him to also check out what else G-d told the Jews to do. As the daughter of a Holocaust survivor |, I am puzzled as to why he would want to join the ranksof the people who slaughtered so many of his brethren.
posted Nov 22nd, 2010 4:05 amI hope that he will persist in his search for truth: He can contact Jews for Judaism, which is staffed sometimes by former Jews for Jesus.,May G-d reward his efforts to help people and may he be successful in his search .

The Maker's Diet does really work. I would suggesst though that you find your local Seventh Day Adventist Church. They will be happy to teach you the Maker's Diet for free as they have been doing for over 100 years.

+My husband and I have not tried this diet, but now that he was diagnosed with Parkinson's and having some extremely painful digestive problems with gas that cannot be relieved we need some alternatives besides antibiotics. Where do we start since anything he eats turns to gas that cannot be relieved because of sluggish bowels brought on by the Parkinson's? I heard raw food was the easiest to digest. Is this true and is that the place to start? This has been going on for over 5 weeks after having a colonoscopy and blood test to test for Celiac Disease. Could Crohn's be an issue? Thanks for any feedback I can get for my husband, age 74.

+I felt amazing when I was on this diet.
posted Jan 29th, 2010 7:27 pmI had so much energy and I could think clearly.
the only slightly negitive thing i would say is, like any diet, it is super hard. Its definitely a life style change.

+I am 65 years old and had problems all my life with my bowel movements. I started taking Dr. Ruben's oxi Flush Deep Cleansing With Oxygen and after I started taking it, I have no problems having a bowel movement. This was truly a blessing for me and now I want to get started on Dr. Ruben's diet for my health. I fell 8 years ago and I cracked a dic and rippped a disc. I have live with cronic pain since my accident and I feel that I have finally something that will help me in more ways than one. I am very excited to start on the diet!

+I think this book is excellent. If you really think about it, most of the best diets go back to basics. Eat what our ancestors ate, etc. As for the comment on what is in the Bible. Jordan Ruben is a Messianic Jew. He believes Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior, but most likely his spiritual education on Biblical law come from a different source (Torah) than the modern day Christian. Also, I don't think he is wrong to sell a book or program. He is an educated man with a family. I am sure there are many jobs he could get that would be easier and less time consuming. Instead he chose to spread "the word" and God had blessed him and gave him the means to continue and grow. Perhaps someone who is not a Christian will read his book and be curious about the law. From there they may read the Bible for the first time. From there they may visit a church and become a Christian. God is always involved and I am sure Jordan Ruben knows that with his wealth comes great responsibility.

I agree with T.Lennox, his gramma may not be perfect, but his reference to the Bible is correct! I'd like to know what Bible does teach that Christ or His disciples received financial gain from healings, teachings etc. Don't get me wrong, it's good, but is the desire to help or to line his pockets? That's between him & God.

T. Lennox: This isn't some ploy for "big sales". This is a man who was extremely ill and almost died, tried everything to get well, and from the Maker's Diet was able to. God bless him for having the courage to write a book about his findings and for the desire to save thousands of people from the same fate.

I am a Christian and tried the Maker's diet. I started with Phase 1 and now do a mixture of Phase 1 and 2 to keep losing weight. I have lost 80 pounds in the last 6 months. I feel great and very healthy. This is a great diet and way of life. I highly recommend it!

for T.Lennox: what bible do you read? your words are very poor
Alicia
I have completed the entire 40 days of the makers diet and have not been sick ever since I started it. That was over two years ago. The first two weeks are the hardest, but after that it's pretty much smooth sailing.
T. Lennox
As a strong Christian also I am offended by a salesman with one more diet spiritualizing his for big sales. This is not the worse diet but some of thethings he recommends are questionable at best. This is not in the bible.
