I lost 7 pounds the first week. Think most of that was water since you can have no salt. Then about 2-3 in the next 4 weeks. What threw me off was the requirement to eat every 2-3 hrs. This just wasn't possible at my job. It did require that you have your food prepared for the day and have some refrigeration available. They suggest having a cooler in your car for snacks. I'm just not that organized and I couldn't be seen eating on the job. The principle is simple, though...Several small high protein meals/snacks a day, no fat, no salt.

+I started this diet six days ago and have lost five pounds so far,I am excited because I am also on my period,so I may have lost more once I stop retaining water. Yes,it is a lot of work to fix the food, but you can cook six chicken breasts at a time, and do the same with your veggies. You just have to be organized.

-I purchased this system several months ago and was very anxious to try it. However, when the material arrived, it was very complicated and lengthy. It overwhelmed me and never tried to use it.

+I agree. I find that a lot of people are not determined to loose the weight and looking for excuses hence discouraging those who are determined. This is just like everything else, you have to point in work to make it work. Life is not easy and this is not an exception. I started the 12 day program and it worked. I got sick and could not continue but I am starting today and will stick to it. I have 2 weeks before I go for holiday and will do as instructed. If you are not able to discipline yourself, tough then, its not for you. Good luck to all those who are serious about loosing weight!

+This diet is great for fast weight loss I was down 9 lbs in the first 6 days! I lost 19 lbs in the first 6 weeks while cheating one day a week. The problem that I have is the stick to it ability. I end up binging after being so restricted for so long. I will continue to use this plan for weight loss but I dont recomend it if you dont have time to prepare your meals and exersice daily.

This is just a part of the 6 week body makeover. I did the "6 day mini makeover" as its called and lost 11 pounds!! 11 pounds in 6 days!! Terrific results. However, its not a very easy plan to follow. I have also done the main plan, 6 week body makeover, several times. Of course I have never been able to last 6 weeks with it! You have to eat very small meals every 2 - 3 hours so you are either in the kitchen all day or you have to cook in advance and package your portions and reheat. It very restrictive. I felt like I ate chicken and green beans all the time. I was hungry, all the time. I figured my calorie intake for one day and it came out to 800 calories...........no wonder I was hungry and losing weight so fast! I found it hard to stick to because I would get so hungry that I would eventually binge. Oh, I'd get back on but a day or 2 later I would binge again. One night while snuggling on the couch with my 2 year old, I leaned over to kiss her and I said to my husband, "I'm so hungry that I better be careful not to take a bite!" I would even dream of food at night....buffets of food. I was hungry all the time! Its true that the workouts are more than 18 minutes. 18 - 20 minutes of strength training with stretchy bands (which works great! Tones super fast!) and also 45 - 60 minutes of cardio, walking is recommended. I don't have time for all that and pounding on a treadmill gets on my nerves at about 30 minutes. I do love the resistance exercises though and I beleive that the program cost is worth it for the strength training alone. I use the plan for a quick weight loss after having babies or before a special event. Its been impossible for me to stick to for very long and this is coming from a woman who has done the Martha's Vineyard Diet Detox, which is a liquid fast. I wasn't hungry on a fast but I was starving on this. Their advice on the 6wbmo website is to eat free foods, aka carrots. I can only tolerate so many of those! I never got full on fresh veggies either. All in all, at least you get to chew.

I am so amazed by this program! I lost 5 pounds in the first 5 days. That's a pound a day. Then I slipped and went on a "junk" food binge but the weight stayed off...until the 2nd week.

I did lose six lbs in six days. I was not paid to say this. I did drop one size. There is a food plan for afterwards that is conservative and within reason.

I have this diet and have struggled with it for three months. Lots and lots of cooking and food preparing. It doesn't allow processed meats, certain veggies and carbs, and there's a lot of weighing of foods. And all of this is BEFORE you get to the exercise part of the diet.

I have been on this program since December 2006 and it is great! Yes there is food to prepare, but if you are not preparing your food, you are either buying processed or eating out - which is the cause of your weight problem to begin with! I've lost 50 pounds so far on this program; the exercise portion is 2 days of 18 minute toning and you eventually bring in cardio, which could just be walking for 150 minutes a week. I think before anyone judges, you should know your facts. This program is a life changing program that is customized for YOU and your habits; it is meant to teach you to eat right for YOU and excercise right for YOU. Negativity will get your nowhere in any diet and by the sounds of some people's comments, perhaps you are looking for excuses not to lose weight...Good luck to everyone!

The book doesn't say, do you weigh the food before or after you cook it? I'll let you know how it works for a person 52 yrs of age. Exercise is the hard part of course, I work a full & also a part time job because of 2 illnesses in my family. Have to pay the bills...

I agree with Kris. On the 6 day & 12 day diet, there's lots & lots of food prep time & cooking. On the 6 day diet, you have to do 40-60 minutes of walking everyday. On the 12 day diet, you have to do hours of muscle toning almost every day along with 40-60 minutes of walking.
Kat
The 6 week makeover is really good! It does all the thinking for you once you do the 'blueprints'. I liked that it gave different foods you could eat on your individualized plan, instead of you must eat such and such. For working people, it can be difficult to eat the amount of food the number of times you are supposed to- that is what slowed me down. I am a slim person by nature, but with age got some bulges in places that weren't appealing, this took care of that. Even my mother commented- and you know how moms are!!

I have this system and it does work I couldn't believe how fast the first week went by I lost 7lbs in 4 days, in 4days people

It is NOT 18 min. of exercise. I have the book and it is 45-60 min of cardio for 5 out of the six days. I work out all the time and even I found this tiring.
Heather
Wow! only 18 minutes of exercise? I can swing that.
Mr. Cooper
Any details on the Six Week diet, since that is what you have to move into when the six days is over?
