Can you see results in less than a week?

Top Rated Diet Shakes of 2024
BACKGROUNDBACKGROUND Start the Diet Now Advertisement

Just think, six days from now you could be one size smaller. And, the best part is that you can keep off the weight. That's the proposed benefit of the 6-Day Body Makeover. The key to this unique diet is personalization. Developed by Michael Thurmond, 6-Day Body Makeover adapts to meet the needs of your metabolism. You could lose up to one pound each day.

Having been featured on the hit TV program Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, the country has had a front-row seat to meet the man behind 6-Day Body Makeover.

6-Day Body Makeover is the express-lane version of Michael's 6-Week Body Makeover. You'll be working to ramp up your metabolism and cut calories quickly, so you'll be eating quite a lot more food than usual. And by more than usual, Michael will have you eating about six meals daily.

To begin the 6-Day Body Makeover, you'll learn your individual body type, how your body manages what you're eating, and how your metabolism breaks it all down, with the assistance of Thurmond's Body Type Blueprinting System. Your meals for the 6-Day plan will come from the Blueprint. Also, be prepared to follow your own Body Sculpting Routine, exercise that shouldn't take more than 18 minutes each day.

DIET and NUTRITIONDIET and NUTRITION

Self-motivation is key to the 6-Day formula. So come prepared and hungry. You'll consume low-cal meals with daily caloric intake not exceeding 1,200 calories, but you'll make up for it with a lot of protein. Your diet will consist of meat, egg whites, fish, fresh veggies and some fruit. With protein servings about four ounces and plenty of leafy greens, persistence will lead you to your smaller size after just six days.

EXERCISEEXERCISE

Daily exercise routine that lasts about 18 minutes.

CONCLUSIONCONCLUSION

Customization is the key to this plan. Michael Thurmond realizes that one size doesn't fit all. That, with a light daily workout routine and well-balanced nutrition, makes this plan very doable. Just don't get hung up on short-term results.

This works! However it is time consuming to prep and cook this much food. I have been eating a lot healthier since the first time trying this. (in which i lost 10 lbs), so I think I am much more familiar with vegetarian food and can prep a lot more foods and still enjoy the diet with great results. I like to do this before trips to Hawaii and anywhere I need to be in a bikini. I am 47 and hoping to drop 10 this time as we are leaving in 11 days for maui. I will post results. I will miss most my wine at the end of the day but the results are worth it. After all it is only 6 days!

The materials and paper work inside the box are too overwhelming. You need to do a lot of cooking!
Don't believe it for a second that, "money back guarantee, no question ask.." To return you have to call the 888 number to get an authorization number, I have to stay on line for over 10 minutes to finally talk to someone. I was asked why do I return the product. She said she could help me to get started.. Is there any one I know of who's seriously about losing weight.. The S&H is not refundable. The postage back to them is also not refundable. I told her I was losing money big time for even try it. She said "YES!" (Did I hear a sneer in her voice?)

RUN! Don't do this. Don't waste your money.
South Beach Diet is much easier and better!
Take you money and run!

I was 225 last monday and on friday i was 215. Thats only 5 days and i lost 10 pounds. You eat foods that speed up your metabolism, thats why you get hungry on this diet. But when you get hungry, you eat. It was not a bad diet at all. I cooked everything on monday and reheated it or put it in a spinach salad for the meals. I would recommed a pepper sauce to season foods, they can be bland wth nothing on them. I would recommed this diet to anyone. I have a friend that has lost 110 pounds and still going with this diet.

I highly recommend this program. I am probably its greatest challenge, as I'm over 50, diabetic, and afflicated with an auto-immune disease which I'm trying to force into remission. I began to "go organic" some months ago, and lately decided that losing a hundred pounds wouldn't hurt, either!

As Michael points out, "tweaking" this prgram, for me anyway, is the name of the game. I admit I eat whole eggs -- yes, complete with yolk (free-range) for the lecithin the yolks provide. I also admit to using miniscule amounts of coarse salt, Redmond's Real Salt, as recommended by the nutritionist Isabel De Los Rios. You need so little to flavor the food when you use a real salt, and, at least in me, it doesn't cause the health issues usually associated with normal table salt. (With lung disease, I'm extremely vulnerable to water gain, quite a disasterous hindrance to my ability to breathe. Yet my use of the Redmond coarse salt in careful moderation has shown zero negative result.)

Th Six-Day Body Makeover program does require serious hands-on application, as far as prep work. I am not employed outside the home, so it isn't as hard for me as with some of you who have busy schedules and families to feed. But to be realistic -- isn't it precisely this ease-of-access-to-meals movement that's gotten us into trouble? If we are going to cure obesity in this country, we MUST go back to basics, taxing as it may be on our already busy lives. This means eating REAL food, without hormones, grass-fed beef, free-range chickens and eggs from those chickens, foods prepared and cooked from scratch so we can control the salt (what kind and how much), the fat (the same), and the cooking methods. And I'm not just "whistlin' Dixie" here -- after ten days on Michael's program I'm down seven pounds; but what's even more exciting for me is how this new way of eating has affected my blood sugars. My insulin usage is down 50%. In fact, two nights ago at bedtime (meaning after an entire day of eating non-stop), my blood-sugar tested as normal. Threw me for a loop. I took a risk, and went without an insulin injection before going to sleep. The next morning I tested again -- my levels were still normal. This marked the first time in 12 years I've been able to go to bed at night without having to first stick myself with a needle. It's not like this every night, of course, but even so -- I thank you and bless you, Michael Thurmond!

If all you have time to do is cook and can be at home for every meal, then this diet may be for you. But, my family found the meals too bland and quite frankly so did I.

This iifestyle change REALLY WORKS! i've been on this for 8 weeks, only lost 20 pounds but with pilates and walking i lost 2 dress sizes and i really see a difference. But again, preparation is the key or your more than likely stop at a fast food place or eat whatever one sees easy at home and mess up. Preparation is the key! Good luck people, im still losing. It works for me!

This diet is such hard work! Anyone who manages it while in full time work must be self-employed! It is the only diet that I know which makes me feel too full to eat even the meals allowed. BUT: IT WORKS! I have lost 8lb already and only half way through day 5. I couldn't continue after day 6 as the constant shovelling of fish would make me go crazy!

My husband and I did this diet with excellent results. Of course, he lost more weight more quickly than I, and we stuck with for much longer than 6 days. He did indeed lose a size in 6 days; I did not. In 3 months, my husband lost 45 pounds and is back to the weight he was when we married 20 years ago. He has gotten slack about keeping to the diet but is maintaining his new weight. I am down 30 pounds and am aiming for 10 more. I am down a little over 2 sizes, and I am feeling great. This is a very healthy diet. I have a chronic skin condition, psoriasis, that has cleared up drastically since I started this diet. I cannot say for sure that the diet is the reason, but I can't account for it any other way.

My whole family went through this diet. It worked well if you have very good self control and dont mind eating the same thing over and over..... I lost 8 pounds the first week. There is not salt intake so it pretty much water weight you lose first. Not what you way but how you look. If you get crazy about the numbers you will fail, just know you are smaller and healthier. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to try the challenge.

I tried the 6 week body make over system and it really worked for me. It also worked for others that I know. Now my co worker is starting it. Prepare your meals in advance and you'll be fine.

I lose 11 lbs, lose 1 size of pants but then I gained most of them back in 4 days. I went nut after 6 days. I was hungry all the time, no matter how much I eat. I don't know because I ate too much starch after or my body was trying to get back the weight back since 11 lbs is a lot to lose in a week event 1/2 of them is water weight. I'm going to try to do it again tomorrow and this time after 6 days I will try to add back fruit and starch slowly to see if I can keep at least 5 lbs off.

This diet really does work! It has a wonderful online support community. You do have to put your share of work into it. There is measuring, weighing, drinking lots and lots of water(100oz min.!), no added salt, lots of herbs and spices to spruce up meals, 5-6 meals a day, all of the meals are mandatory to eat except for the 6th meal, 45-60mins of excercise, 5x's a week(brisk walking or light jogging is recommended), and 20 mins of toning 2x's a week. Lean meats, certain types of fruit, lots of veggies, carbs are allowed, the good kinds, lots of water, certain types of soft drinks are permitted, preferablly, diet, sweetened with Splenda. You are eating ALL the time. It a very structured plan....only draw back is...it's alot of "start and re-start" There is a ton of people that fall off the progam. Cuz it IS that easy to lose the weight again. So it makes it easy to fall off and on again.

That's the main problem that I had. I would be perfectly on plan for weeks, months, then I'd be tempted, especially on b-day parties, hanging out with the girls, alcohol was my biggest weakness!

The plan is pretty strict. It's strict for a reason, though. There is alot of people that I know that have loss 50-100lbs+ with this plan. It all depends how much you want it. You gotta really work the plan to get maximum results. This diet is not for wimps! That's for sure....

My husband and I did the 6 week makeover together and loved it. Between the two of us we lost a total of 64lb! Discipline and encouragement are two key factors in doing something like this. We prepared a week of food on Sunday night, then we just pack what we each need for the day and go. The exercise program is great and again it involves discipline. As we often reminded each other during the 6 weeks - we didn't gain our weight overnight and its not going to come off overnight. If you really want to lose weight, there is no other option but to work at it.
Now that we are maintaining our weight, we sometimes substitute healthy food choices for our snacks, or one of the meals just for a change. We only allow ourselves one 'binge' night a week, and even then we laugh at ourselves in how conscious we are in our choice of what we eat. Thank you Micheal Thurmond for your insight in to a better eating lifestyle.
