Contour Abs Belt

Contour Abs Belt

An electronic belt for six-pack abs.

Top Rated Diets of 2024
BACKGROUNDBACKGROUND Start the Diet Now Advertisement

Like other electronic stimulator belts, the Contour Abs Belt is designed to help you get sleek and toned abs simply by wearing it.

The Contour belt is a bit older than newer electrical stimulation devices like The Flex Belt. It delivers a series of electrical impulses that cause the muscles in the abdomen to contract. This contraction process, when done over time is supposed to tighten and tone the underlying muscles. The Contour Abs Belt mimics the movements done when performing sit-ups, crunches or other abdominal workouts.

The belt includes gel pads, a diet and exercise guide, a travel backpack and a one-year warranty. It also promotes its own e3 plan, in which the three e's are: eat sensibly, exercise regularly and eStim, the abbreviation that denotes using the Contour Abs Belt.

The product is not as widely sold as other popular electronic abs belt and can only be purchased via the company's, Contour LLC's, website. The product is also FDA cleared.

DIET and NUTRITIONDIET and NUTRITION

The Contour Abs Belt comes with a diet and exercise guide that includes tips and information on how to lose weight.

This nutritionally balanced plan is divided into 6-meals per day providing 1,400 calories for women and 1,800 calories for men. By eating small meals, six-times per day your metabolism speeds up because your body “learns” that more food will be on the way, so it will burn off calories instead of storing them and absorbing less cholesterol and fat.

EXERCISEEXERCISE

The Contour Abs Belt can be worn anytime whether you're walking the dog, checking email or making dinner. The idea behind the belt is that it contracts and releases the muscles in your core, through its electrical stimulation technology.

You are instructed to wear the belt ten minutes every day while also adhering to the diet and exercise plan that comes with the product. The intensity of the contraction is based on the level of electrical impulse and the belt can be adjusted to levels 0 to 100. Results may vary, depending on the intensity and amount of time users spend with the belt.

The device requires the use three AAA batteries. You are also encouraged to add some cardio exercise in addition to wearing the Contour Belt.

CONCLUSIONCONCLUSION

The Contour Abs Belt is a electronic stimulation device that is designed to help tone your abs without the effort of doing hundreds of crunches and sit-ups. The product is commended for its inclusion of a comprehensive diet and exercise plan.

Even though the device is FDA-cleared, it still may cause side effects and there is no guarantee that its promises live up to what they claim.

Have had the Contour Ab Belt for approximately 5 years. I use it four times a week. My latest set of gel pads, received on 10/21/13, have caused a rash & apparent light burn on my stomach. I have had to call Contour 5 times to actually get to speak to "my account supervisor". The 1st time I spoke with her, she said the wires were putting out an incorrect signal & needed to be replaced. I have an extended warranty, but still had to pay the shipping. The next four times, I was calling her to tell her the new wires did NOT help. I have had a very irritating rash for five days and now have burn places (like a sunburn). The new gel pads have been changed and they now say " I must have developed an allergy to the pads. BS....do not use, especially with the new, improved gel pads!!

This is a pretty good product. It took 2 weeks for this product to ship to my house. I've used it a lot and have lost a couple of inches. However, I didnt just use this product, I also did other cardio excerise. This product makes your tummy jiggle...sometimes it can be really painful...I would recommend people that cant excerise a lot fo use this product. Hope this helps.

I want to buy yhis product but I want someone to give it to me straight. DOES IT WORK? I know I have to eat right and still do some cardio. I had back surgery a year ago and recently hurt it again and I know part of the reason for the back pain is that my core has not been properly worked out in forever due to the injury. Please, someone with insight, tell me if the $200 is going to get rid of this PAIN! in due time of course...

I am big fan of situps but was told that they are not good for you back and you shoudl do plank and crunches and be careful. The electronic stimulation belts might work on building and toning the smaller muscles in the abdominal region. Not 100% sure though.

You NEED to exercise and eat right to be healthy! No belt is going to change your life! It will just help you get the definition that you cant get on your own.

I think this is a total scam. It has been more than 2 months since i ordered it and paid extra for a quick delivery. I am going to have to change my bank account before they steal anymore of my money. I would not recommend this product at all.
