Despite the many concerns listed with the popular hCG diet and various hCG products, there continues to be an interest in these programs. The FDA has stated that the weight loss claims associated with the hCG diet are fraudulent. Apparently there is no evidence that hCG is an effective method of weight loss.

Taking the Optimal hCG drops will require that you eat only 500 calories per day. This is so that your body can use your fat reserves as energy. The drops are supposed to give you energy and enable you to eat such a small caloric intake without feeling faint or hungry throughout the day. There are over 1,000 recipes included with your purchase of Optimal hCG which will all be items you can eat while using the drops. Exercise is not recommended while on this diet because your daily calorie intake is so low. You likely will not have the energy required to make it through a workout. Most hCG products also claim that the weight loss is so great, you won’t need exercise.
CONCLUSION
Optimal hCG does not appear to be any different than other hCG products available. The diet seems to be very popular although many doctors, dieticians and other diet and nutrition experts have spoken out against it. Even the FDA has called all weight loss claims assisted with hCG fraudulent. Some who have used the product have lost large amounts of weight, but that is likely due to the diet of 500 calories which starves the body of important nutrients and fuel. Those that want to seriously lose weight and keep it off would do well to steer clear of these types of fad diets.
