Do You Know the Best Diet Pills of 2024?
Also known as "The Sprinkle Diet," Sensa is an easy to use dietary supplement that aids in weight loss. Rather than having to take pills like most dietary supplements, Sensa Tastants are a product that you sprinkle on your food. You can use Sensa on your snacks as well. You don’t have to make any big changes to what you eat, but with Sensa you eat less.
The product is designed to work with your sense of smell and claims to make you feel full faster which leads to eating less. As you eat, smell and taste receptors send messages to your brain. These messages release hormones that tell you when it’s time to stop eating. This process is called Sensory Specific Satiety.
Sensa works with your body’s natural impulses to help you avoid hunger and intense cravings. Sensa has no calories and no sugar or sodium. The product is gluten-free as well so those with food allergies can still take it.
Even though there is a clinical study behind Sensa, the study was done by Hirsch himself and is not considered scientifically valid. But in his study of 1,436 men and women, the participants lost an average of just over 30 pounds in six months without making any changes to their diet and exercise program. That is also the claim made by the website, namely that you can lose 30 pounds in six months by following The Sprinkle Diet.
There is currently a deal for those that want to try Sensa. You can try the product for 30 days and return it if you are not satisfied for a refund. The product is marketed as a solution that helps you lose weight without dieting. Sensa was created and developed by board-certified neurologist Dr. Alan Hirsch. He is the nation’s leading authority on the science of smell and taste. Although you don’t have to change your diet with this program, those who have had dramatic results used Sensa with a diet and exercise regimen.
One of the top benefits of Sensa aside from the weight loss would be that it claims not to change the taste or texture of your food. When you start the program there are two different Tastants for salty and sweet foods. You also get a video that guides you through how to correctly use the program.
There are very few side effects with Sensa partly because the ingredients contained in the product are common ingredients you would find in other foods.
- No pills to take
- Can be used on all types of foods and snacks
- Based on science to make you feel full with less food
- Contains no stimulants
- Eat regular foods and no need to count calories
- Helps eliminate cravings
- Easy to use at home or on the go
- Promotes losing weight without making any changes to diet or exercise
- Sensa is tasteless to most people; some may be able to taste the product
- Product has not been approved by the FDA (ingredients are on the FDA GRAS list)
- Some complaints about customer service and refund process
- Not appropriate for those who are lactose-intolerant because the product contains milk
Sensa contains Maltodextrin (Derived corn in the U.S.), Tricalcium Phosphate, Silica, Natural and Artificial Flavors, FD&C Yellow 5, and Carmine. Sensa also contains Soy and Milk ingredients.
Sensa asks that all people who try their product and are on medication speak to their primary care doctor before starting anything. They are not qualified to give out any medical advice, meaning they can't tell you if Sensa is right for you based on a particular disease or medication regimen. This product is not FDA approved but the ingredients are on the FDA GRAS list. GRAS means generally recognized as safe. Keep your doctor in the loop about anything you plan on doing.
Sensa is sprinkled all over the surface of your food just before eating it. The Tastants marked “Salty” are sprinkled on all foods that you would typically use salt and pepper or a savory seasoning for meat, fish, pasta, most vegetables and starches. The Tastants marked “Sweet” are sprinkled on sweet foods like fruit, pastries, desserts and cereal. The words “Salty” and “Sweet” do not mean that the actual Tastants contain salt and sugar, or that they will make your food taste salty or sweet – it’s just a way to describe the type of food to use it on.
Sensa can be purchased in savory or salty flavors, like cheddar cheese, onion, horseradish, ranch dressing, taco, and Parmesan cheese or as sweet flavors, like cocoa, spearmint, banana strawberry, raspberry, and malt.
Sensa should not be used on liquids or liquid foods like soup or stews.
One of the biggest draws for most people with Sensa will be that you can get results from the product without changing your habits. However, if you want to get results faster it’s advised that you incorporate a sensible diet and exercise regularly. Sensa does work to reduce cravings and make you feel full on less food.
You are encouraged to use Sensa on every meal or snack you eat as well as to keep portions in moderation.
Sensa offers a product that really sounds too good to be true. You sprinkle the Tastants on your food, eat less and lose weight. Most of the bad comments you hear about this product involve the recurring charges on your credit card and being placed into an auto-ship program. If you do decide to try Sensa, remember that your results can be enhanced if you include a sensible diet and start exercising regularly. And check with your doctor first, especially if you take any medications.
Sensa is unlikely to be your magic pill to weight loss, but if it somehow promotes you to eat less and with more mindfulness then perhaps it's worth it.

-BUYER BEWARE> Sensa is a total scam. Trying to stop the membership is an exercise in futility and sheer frustration. Meanwhile Sensa bills my credit card every month, ignoring my repeated requests to end the membership. I ended up having to call my credit card company to refuse payment. Now Sensa has sent me to collections. After hours spent on the phone trying to get to the bottom of this problem, NO ONE at Sensa is willing to right their mistake. I have sent letters to the Better Business Bureau and the Michigan State Attorney General. BUYER BEWARE

I bought my Sensa on ebay brand new so I could try it without having the automatic reordering. I got the starter kit and month 1 and 2. Good ideas for others who don't want thier cards on file and being charged.

-I won't buy anything that automatically charges my credit card without permission. Also, this contains maltodextrin, which is like sprinkling msg on everything. If, like many people, you're sensitive to msg, you may have an unpleasant reaction.

I tried ordering Sensa today, but because of everything I have been reading in regards to the company's continuous unauthorized charges to the accounts, i decided to go out and get a rechargeable visa instead.
posted Oct 27th, 2010 7:20 pmWell guess what, they do not accept prepaid visas, but they will be happy to assist me to debit my bank account !! When I question as to why they were rejecting my visa, I was told that there was not sufficient funds ( I deposit $25 to that card) in that account because they actually put a hold on the $89.95 on the bank card before hand and they needed an account where they will be able to debit the payment after the 30 days from today.
Shouldn't they only have to worry about the $9.95 which is what the customer is being told it would cost, and not request an authorization for $89.95?
If I were you I would definitely stay away from this and any company like this, since there are many people out there being taken advantage of by so many companies by having money withdrawing money from their accounts even after they have asked to cancel it.
I was really interested in trying Sensa, but now I just decided to drink a full glass of water before every meal. This will fill me up and I will be eating less....isn't this what Sensa does? The only difference is that the glass of water costs much less.

I am a pro athlete and have been an athlete for the majority of my life, including college. Because of injury, I recently switched from competitive martial arts to competitive triathlon. I have 3 trainers and a coach who suggested that I'd be a more fierce competitor, in this new sport, if I dropped 30lbs (which was a great thing for my previous sport). I dropped 15lbs with the help of my sports nutritionisht and the modification of my workouts. For 6 months, I was unable to drop ANY of the remaining 15lbs. I am very interested in this topic because I began with Sensa 3 months ago and the product is working for me. ...slowly, but it is working. I find that I am full FASTER. Thus, taking in smaller meals. However, I am hungry SOONER (after a couple of hours). Nevertheless, I still manage to take in my needed calories by eating 2 more meals per day than usual. So, I take in the same number of calories, but my matabalism has undoubtably increased with the added meals. I was unalbe to do this on my own. With Sensa I am able to eat my 6 daily meals without discomfort.
posted Oct 27th, 2010 3:16 pmI am curious as to why so many care about the company's poor use of it's suposable "trials" when the product actually works. I suppose it is a good that I was more than willing and wanted to do more than just "try" the product for a month or so. Am I too expect a hassle when I am finished with this product and no longer want to order?

+I have used Sensa for one week and I have lost ten lbs. I am only slightly overweight with about 15 to 20 lbs to lose total. I have not exercised or changed my eating habits. Just paid a little more attention to my body when it was telling me it was full. I think Sensa works very well to curb appetite as well as stop random cravings. It was a challenge for me to finish an apple for breakfast this morning. So as a whole, I think this product really works if you pay close attention to what your body is telling you. I'm glad I have half my weightless done in only a week!!

-I ordered Sensa for trial and immediately they asked for your credit card and charged me for discount/s 3 months supply. I' ve tried them for a week and I think this is just a Placebo diet, meaning its nothing really!

If you read the terms and conditions it states quite clearly that you must call for an RA number within 30 days of placing your order. Otherwise your card will be charged on day 30 with no refunds. So you tried returning on day 35 and they still charged you...Really? Well daaaaah, thats not a scam. Thats called "I'm too dumb to read the rules so I'll just blame them for my own stupidity." Sorry, I just can't stand idiots.

-don't waste your $ on sensa and other stuff like it. Read the book by Dr. Michael Aziz The Perfect 10 Diet it is based on your bodies hormones and what real and processed foods due to one body. It is not about willpower it's about balancing your body hormones. Have been following program to fit my lifestyle and have lost 45 pounds in 4 1/2 months and feel great.

Thank you for defining the ingredient carmine. I investigated your information stating carmine is made from bugs. It is! It's made from crushed beetles. So, maybe bugs make you feel full and you eat less. I was tempted to try Sensa, but have no desire to sprinkle bugs on my food.

I ordered the Free Trial,yesterday,9/18/2010 & when I read about the scam, I went to their website & cancelled my order. Will see if they will do that & if they ever charge me on my credit card, I will file a class action law suit as I noticed that there are quite a lot of people that were scammed.

Sensa is now on sale at GNC for the same price, terms or return, and guarantee. Hopefully this helps many concerns and issues that have been expressed. Good Luck!

Another way to loose weight is to stop eating so damn much. I have lost 20 lbs by limiting what I put in my mouth. Also going without excersise is foolish. Building muscle tone is the best way to loose weight since muscle burn calories. No one needs this product to loose weight except for week individuals who can't control themselves.

Good information! Thought about buying until I read some of these comments and I hate to have to spend time getting someone to stop charging my credit card. Since it hasn't been approved by FDA and it's only a patent pending gave me pause before I hit the enter button and started searching for more info. I remember a friend try something new and great on the market for weight lost about 15 years ago. It damaged her kidneys, lungs and she cannot get health insurance. She sued and won but that isn't going to fix her kidney's.

The 30 day trial is NOT what they say it is.. I signed up on sensa.com paid the $9.95 shipping. got the product, then within my 30 days of "TRIAL" I went back to the website and cancelled my subscription. They still billed me the next month $90, stating that i only cancelled the 30 day trial, not the automatic subscription to the reoccurring billing of the product.. sounds fishy,, HUH!! IT IS!
