Each week you will have a Nutrition Task that supports you in making long-lasting change to your eating habits. For instance, in the first week, you will go grocery shopping, purchase a few healthy pantry items and keep track of what you eat. The next week, you might start to replace refined flours with whole grains.

Additional key dietary changes you will makes are avoiding foods that contain trans-fat, eating more omega-3-rich foods and choosing fish over red meat.

Since this is a practical eating guide, no foods are prohibited. You will instead learn how to assign your favorite foods into frequency categories of "usually," "sometimes," and "rarely."

Over the course of the 12 weeks of the program, you will implement week-to-week strategies that build upon each other so that at the end of the three months, your eating habits and cooking style will look drastically different.

Just like the nutrition portion of the Small Changes, Big Results program, you will undertake an exercise goal each week. For the first week, you will be asked to take three 20-minute walks. During the three-month makeover, you will introduce strength-training, stretching and additional cardiovascular exercise into your daily activity routine. As you progress, the exercise requirements become more challenging, but still very doable.
