DIET and NUTRITION
The Pancreatic Oath focuses on keeping your pancreas healthy to keep your body healthy. Eating the wrong foods and drinking the wrong beverages are blamed for pancreas abuse. Those things paired with lack of exercise and poor portion control lead to weight gain and disease. Chronic diseases like heart disease, stroke, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, pre-diabetes and others can be linked to these unhealthy habits. Through this book you prevent the diseases instead of having to deal with them after diagnosis by making some changes to your lifestyle. If you are already dealing with some of these diseases, you can use this program to help overcome them. This program is for those that have spent years or even a lifetime dieting and gaining back the weight they’ve lost. Emphasis is placed on monitoring your blood sugar even if you are not diabetic to track your glucose levels. Some of the easy tips on eating within this book include:
Eat more leafy green vegetables
Avoid soda including diet drinks
Eat more plant-based proteins
Eat more whole grains
Eat fruits separately
Avoid artificial and regular sugars
No meat unless it is grass fed and antibiotic free
Limit salt intake
The eating tips alone offer some really helpful ways to take control of your health for the better. You are provided with a grocery list of The Pancreatic Oath foods which will help you get started. Although you are encouraged to eat more fruits and vegetables, meat is not totally eliminated. Any meats you eat will need to be antibiotic and hormone free. You don’t have to count carbohydrates or calories while on this program. The book includes recipes if you need ideas for your meal plans. Some of the recipes within the book are:
Arugula Salad
Baked Stuffed Bell Peppers
Bean and Avocado Salad
Bean Burger
Braised Sauerkraut
Baked Falafel
Mushroom Bolognese
Pea Shoot Wrap
Southwest Quinoa
White Bean Soup
EXERCISE
Exercise is also very important with The Pancreatic Oath. Increasing your exercise while also changing what you eat will help you see fast results. You are encouraged to discuss exercise specifics with your physician before beginning the program. It is suggested that you mix up your workouts to avoid boredom. You also don’t have to over think exercising. Activities like yoga, swimming, housework, walking, biking and Pilates all count towards getting healthy. Moderate intensity is the level you should strive for as vigorous exercise is not recommended. Emphasis is placed on the fact that no matter how much you exercise, it cannot overcome the effects of a poor diet. If you are unable to exercise in the beginning, then you will still see results by following the eating plan alone. As soon as you are physically able, you are encouraged to incorporate exercise.
CONCLUSION

You eat more vegetables and eliminate highly processed items. This program has been successful for many people and can be helpful for you as well. Downloaded on to my Kindle over a week ago. A friend had told me about the book cuz she knew I needed help bad. I'm 38 and so overweight I have trouble breathing. forget taking the stairs.
You can lose weight on this program with no crazy amounts of exercise. I have already lost almost 5 pounds.
The hardest part for me is the meter. I freak out at the site of blood. I'm a baby about pain. I admit the first 3 times I used it, I was not real happy. But after that, no big deal. I work in IT and like keeping track of my numbers in an Excel sheet. Cool to see how different foods help or hurt my body chemistry. Then see how those sugar numbers connect to numbers on the scale.
Easy plan. Easy recipes. And best part, I'm not hungry all the time like before. Feels like I'm learning the best way to fuel my body.

Within a little over three months on the Pancreatic Nutritional Program - I lost almost 40 lbs and got off all prescription medications. My doctors were astonished by my improved blood work! My husband and kids were astonished by my new appearance! I finally threw out the size 16 and over clothes. There is no going back from the healthier NEW me.
It is not just a diet. The Pancreatic Oath provides you with the understanding of how your own body processes food and stress through monitoring your blood sugar. You need to keep a food journal and monitor your blood sugar levels for the first 8 weeks...at least. Then you know your body better (what your pancreas can and cannot handle). The best way to eat in order to lose weight just becomes natural! It will change your life, especially if you had chronic health issues like me, in addition to being overweight.
