As a Weight Watchers member, you'll get a daily personalized PointsPlus values goal, so you know how much to eat to lose weight safely while feeling satisfied.
The PointsPlus program encourages you to not eat less, but instead to eat smarter and with more satisfaction. Learn more about the Weight Watchers PointsPlus Weight Watchers PointsPlus program here.
Even though food is just one aspect of Weight Watchers, for the Momentum program, what you’ll be eating is a significant part of your potential for weight loss success.
In using the Weight Watchers Points system, you’ll learn the secrets of filling foods so that you can feel satisfied for longer periods of time and stave off cravings. Foods on the Momentum program include turkey burgers, baked chicken with herbs, sautéed shrimp with spices and no-cook snacks like cherries, air-popped popcorn, and guacamole.
Momentum meals and snacks are low in fat, low in calorie but generous in good carbohydrates, fiber, quality fats and protein. These nutrients are known to take longer for your body to digest so that you’ll keep your blood sugar levels balanced and you’ll stay full for longer periods of time.
The Momentum Program also has an accompanying cookbook, Weight Watchers New Complete Cookbook Momentum Program Edition with more than 500 fresh and flavorful recipes that reflect the program's unique plan. Included in the cookbook are holiday recipes ideas, meals from around the world and healthy takes on comfort foods. Each recipe lists its nutritional information as well as its points.
Sample recipes include:
- Herb-Crusted Red Snapper
- Cheddar Stuffed Buffalo Burgers
- Slow-Cooked Manhattan Clam Chowder
Exercise is a component of the Momentum program. Similar to other Weight Watchers programs, you will learn the benefits of exercise and how to start an exercise program that facilitates weight loss. Weight Watchers Online subscribers will have access to fitness demonstrations, as well as tips and advice for how to make exercise an integral part of your long-term healthy lifestyle.
The Weight Watchers Momentum program is a specific kind of program that focuses on eating meals and snacks that sustain satiety, and are low in calories and fat. The foods in the Momentum program are chosen because of their ability to take a longer time for your body to digest. Exercise, adhering to the Weight Watchers POINTS system, and attending weekly support group meetings (if you choose the meetings approach) are additional essential components to making Momentum a successful weight loss program. Momentum seamlessly follows Weight Watchers' "stop dieting and start living" approach to weight loss.

+My mom and I are going on Monday to sign up. I did WW back in 1998 and had excellent results, but 11 years later and 3 kids later I really need to take off this extra weight. I have back pain that I know is due to my weight gain. I feel terrible about myself. I don't like to look in the mirror. I have tried Quick Weight Loss Center, VERY expensive and hard to stick to if you don't like many vegetables. WW worked for me before so I am going back to what I know works and what I can stick to!
