Yield: Serves 15. 1 each.

2 cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
2 tablespoon sugar
2 tablespoon apple sauce, unsweetened
2/3 cup fat free buttermilk
3 tablespoon vegetable oil

Preheat oven to 400° F.

In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking powder and baking soda. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix gently until the mixture forms a dough.

Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and pat dough to 1/2-inch thickness. Cut with a 2-inch biscuit cutter. Dip the cutter in flour every so often between cuts. Place biscuits on a nonstick cookie tray until they are golden about 12 minutes. Serve warm.
