Pizza Sauce

Ingredients

Thick and zesty-this versatile pizza sauce is a breeze to make. Why not make a double batch and freeze some?

  • 1 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 Tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce
  • 2 Tbsp tomato paste
  • 2 tsp dried oregano
  • Pinch crushed red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Heat the oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook over low heat 30 seconds or until fragrant.

  2. Add tomato sauce and tomato paste, oregano, and crushed red pepper flakes and bring to a simmer.

  3. Reduce heat to low and simmer 10 minutes for flavors to blend and for sauce to thicken slightly.
