Sweet Saute of Purple Cabbage and Onion

This very simple but delicious recipe uses antioxidant packed purple cabbage and sweet onion sauteed to perfection.

Per serving: Calories 160; Fat 7g; Protein 6g; Carbs17g; Fiber 8g
Yield: 2 big servings


  • ½ Tbs butter
  • ½ Tbs olive oil
  • 1 small head purple cabbage, sliced thin
  • 1 medium red onion, sliced thin
  • Salt and pepper to taste


  1. Sauté cabbage and onion, stirring often, in olive oil/butter for 10 minutes or until nice and tender.
  2. Add salt and pepper to taste.
