Joe Mitchell is a 46-year-old from Knoxville, Tennessee. It's there that he has his family, his wife, son, and daughter, and works as a home health therapist. His family was the motivation to audition for Biggest Loser and start working toward a healthy weight. "I'll never be the father my kids need if I'm a 370-pound sixty year old!" As an older parent, he feels it's his responsibility to learn to lead a healthier life. A former athlete, Joe says his weight gain started when he stopped going to the gym and began eating too much fast food. He looking forward to going zip lining with his daughter once he reaches a healthy weight.
