We all know by now that adding some green tea to your daily diet is a beneficial boost to your health. From the possibility of warding off diseases to helping with weight loss, green tea's health advantages seem to be growing with each research study.
One product that is capitalizing on this popularity is Ultra Green Tea Lean. Promising to help you lose weight in 60 days, this powdered packet of green tea mix supposedly contains all the health benefits of green tea while suppressing your appetite and increasing your energy.
Do You Know the Best Diet Pills of 2024?
- Green tea has been shown to have health benefits
- Ultra Green Tea Lean may help you to lose weight
- Comes in convenient on-the-go packaging
- Ultra Green Tea Lean appears to be more a fad diet than conducive to healthy lifestyle
- None of the claims or the product itself have been approved by the FDA
- No scientific evidence has shown that Citrimax or Advantra Z speed up weight loss
- Taking an unregulated supplement may result in unknown health risks
- Expensive
Ultra Green Tea Lean also contains an amino acid and mineral blend which are intended to burn fat, boost energy, stabilize blood sugar, build lean muscle mass and improve your mood. The product also contains two trademarked formulas: Advantra-Z and Citrimax. Citrimax contains the ingredient hydroxycitric acid, or HCA, and it is purported to have an effect on the way fat is burned during exercise. Advantra-Z is an ephedra-like weight loss supplement that contains the Chinese herb, bitter orange. The product is supposed to increase fat-burning and speed up the metabolism of some people.
Ultra Green Tea Lean does not require that you follow a certain food or exercise program, but the product does encourage you to follow a sensible diet plan and a consistent exercise plan in order for you to achieve maximum results.
Ultra Green Tea Lean comes in three flavors: Orange Cream, Berry Cream and Strawberry Cream. You take one packet each day, preferably before you workout to increase your energy, even if you're just walking. Mix the packet in a bottle of water, shake it up and then you're good to go.
Ultra Green Tea Lean is a supplement that should be used with caution and only under the direction of your medical doctor. None of the claims that the product makes can be supported or verified by the Federal Food and Drug Administration. And many of its ingredients' claims cannot be backed by scientific research. Moreover, since the product website contains very little information on how to take the supplement and the amount of ingredients it contains, caution should be taken before considering purchasing this product.
Green tea in its purest states can be a beneficial addition to any healthy lifestyle.

-For all of you who have been sucked into the underhanded, dirty business dealings of false advertisement and a sea of itty bitty writing that constitutes ULTRA LEAN GREEN, I feel your pain.
posted Nov 6th, 2008 3:59 pmI too have gotten overly excited over a "Risk Free 30 Day Trial +s&h".
But here's the deal, DO NOT send the bottle back marked "Return to Sender" and just throw it in your mailbox thinking that they will get it. Oh, sure, they will get it, but you will never know that. Then you will get charged for nothing, and they will have their product returned to them, but deny it ever made it there.
Now, I take full responsibility for my dive into an offer that looked too good to be true, and not reading the fine print. However, just because I up the first time doesn't mean I should continue to get scammed by a company that just wants my money without any regard to the customer.
Why wouldn't they send you any information/paperwork about the specifics with the initial product? Why no paperwork? Why so frign underhanded?
This company prey's on the foolish to rape you over and over again until you are forced to cancel your bank/credit card account. They claim to cancel your order, but oops, it didn't happen and guess what, your stuck paying another $69.87 for a crappy product. A product you just wanted to try, not get married to.
They claim that "sure, we'll give you your money back, just throw it in the mail without a tracking number, we'll credit you!" Then you ask, "why am I still being charged, I sent it back" ULTRA LEAN says "sorry, we never got it!"
I truly believe that anyone on these complaint forums that is sticking up for the company is infact a representitive of the company. Who the hell is okay with paying that much money for a tea supplement that taste's like and doesn't work?
If you are as outraged as I am, google the Better Business Bureau of Utah. There is a link in the middle of the page to report companies such as this. This is BAD BUSINESS and it needs to be stopped! Tell everyone and anyone on myspace/especially facebook what the deal is.
Bottom line: This company needs to practice responsible business. From the advertising right down to the return of the product.

-i also bought some thinking 5 or so dollars would be my charge and of course didnt read the fine print about a $69 charge after 15 days. kind of scary that they can charge your credit card without your consent

+It's easy to get tricked into buying stuff like this. The 14 days starts as soon as you order. However, I waited ages to call and cancel because I just didn't have the time to sit on hold for a while.
posted Nov 4th, 2008 10:00 amAnd to the chick about the call center - um, every good big business uses call centers now, because it's cheaper and they are sick and tired of dealing directly with people like you.
Anyway, at the same time I ordered, they apparently signed me up for all this bargainlink stuff, which charged me almost $200 total, but I was able to call and cancel and get full refunds for those. Today I called Ultra Green Tea and they said they would refund the $68.87, send me a second batch for half the cost and as long as I canceled 7 days from today, I'd only be charged $34 for the lot. Much better than losing $68.87.
So although I don't like the way they work initially, I think they have great customer service, in spite of calls being handled by a center.

+I definatly have felt more energy with the green tea. I have a demanding college course schedule and it helps me stay focused and I haven't gotten sick in a long time. I've felt great. Also, I think that it is helping me eat healthier because I am not as hungry all the time and my meals are always smaller.

-ULTRA LGT is a classical SCAM. And b/c I care about people being scammed I say with fortitude DO NOT ORDER THIS TEA! It is a RIP OFFF! I called to complain and be reimbursed for UNAUTHORIZED charges and the "MANAGER" HUNG UP IN MY FACE!! Furthermore, you cannot reach the co. directly. All of the "customer service" is handled to a CALL CENTER. Hence the HANGING UP IN MY FACE, b/c there is no one who can do ANYTHING about it. They're ONLY a call center. This is classic.

-What a scam!!! Beware. Introductory offer is only $5.95 but they will turn around and quickly bill you an additional $70 before you know it or have an opportunity to cancel your membership. Read the fine print realllllly well. It cost me $140 before I realize what was happening.

-I ordered 30 days worth of Ultra Lean Green Tea at their introductory price of $5 for shipping only etc. Well, they don't tell you, (no terms and conditions that you read and agree to etc.) that if you don't call their number 14 days after that they will charge you $70/month for this crap. It doesn't work either. I used it as directed for 30 days it didn't taste bad, but it didn't make me lose weight either. I exercized, ate well, stayed the same. I did however lose weight after I went off of it by doing South Beach. If you want to add flavor to your water fine, but don't expect it to do anything to help you lose weight.

Pls Pls Pls make sure if you cancel, you call BOTH Ultra Grean Tea and your membership with Fit Factory!!!! SCAM SCAM SCAM

+I do not like that it has a splenda base which tastes like chemicals. You would be better off just drinking real organic green tea. This website is very deceiving in the way that you think that you are only paying for shipping and handling and thus in the fine print it states that you only have 14 days to figure out if you like it..

-I have been using this product for 3 months and have only lost 3 lbs. I have always had a tummy on me. I don't feel any different and it hasn't speeded up my metabolism. I have the phone number so I am going to try and cancel it. I probably can find something different in a health food store that does not cost that much. This green tea is just too expensive when it does not work.

-Hi everyoneSo far I am not liking the product. I ordered mine over 2 weeks ago and just got it yesterday. So I called to see if my free trial was up and they said it WAS, they had already charged me for the stuff. I was so so the girl I was talking to got the manager and and they said they would reimburst me and give me a full 30 days to try it. So that was a plus. I will let you all know if it works for me.

-Do not fall for this fraudulent scam. I agreed to pay 4.95 for a 30 day trial. When the product arrived there was no information about how to contact the company. They got my credit card number and started charging me $69.87 a month and sending me unordered shipments. I checked the website carefully and there was no mention of joining any club. I tried emailing the company at the address given on the website and it came back undeliverable. My credit card company gave me a number to call, but they will only take back and issue a refund for one shipment. I hope no one else has to go through what I am going through with these people.

-They will charge you the 5.95 for SH and then charge you 74.69 just for the stupid tea. It's too damn expensive and your bank can't do crap about it. What a waste of 75.00. If you see their ad, RUN THE OTHER WAY. GIANT SCAM!!!! Sat on hold for 7 minutes before they answered the phone to cancel it too!
