The healthy eating advice given in this book focuses on being tailored to your body and food preferences. With this program you can lose weight and learn how to prepare healthy meals at home without worrying about counting calories. Yolanda does recommend that you reduce the amount of fat in your diet pretty drastically. This book does include some simple and tasty recipes to get you started cooking meals for you and your family. You can still indulge occasionally on the Food Cop plan and it is recommended that you plan for those occasions by purchasing low-fat versions of your favorite treats.

Food Cop contains an approach that worked for many celebrities as far as weight loss and eating. Although some of the information is outdated, this book might be helpful for those that want to cut some of the fat from their diet. It is important to note that you do need some fat provided it is the right kind. Eliminating fat completely for the sake of not having to count calories is no a recommended approach to dieting and weight loss.
