Jillian Michaels' knowledge of fitness training stems from years of martial arts and intense personal training. Jillian Michaels (born 18 February, 1974) is a fitness expert who gained prominence as a trainer on the NBC weight-loss reality series ''The Biggest Loser'' (USA). Michaels was the trainer for the red team until 2006, when she was replaced by Kim Lyons. She returned in 2007 as the black team coach, competing against Kim's red team and Bob Harper's blue team. Kim decided not to return for the spring 2008 season, leaving Jillian as the only female trainer. Along with Bob Harper, Jillian is also a trainer in the Australian version of the show. She began her career in exercise because she was considerably overweight before her teenage years (though not as much as the contestants she whips into shape now). As a young adult, her mother enrolled her in a martial arts class, which was a new beginning for Jillian. Thereafter she dedicated herself to helping the overweight transform their lives and their bodies for the better.

I need to be a computer wiz to be able to send one e-mail asking for cancellation. They sure don't make it easy. Although it very simple when they took my credit card number.

I watch your show sometimes on my cable station and i like your programs. I am a 27 mother that weighs 234 pounds and i hate bein fat,but i cant really aford to loose weight.I dont eat plenty but its the type of food that eat and drink that cause me to be overweighr and i hate it. What u think i should do? Oh i am Jamaican living in Jamaica.

I am 51years old, I have high blood pressure and high cholertrol. I have no job at this time and I am in the pricess of moving to Florida where my husband and I hope to get jobs and a place to live as I haven't had my own place to live in over a year. I'm 55 and have bad arthritis all over, especially both knees. I was way over 100 lbs. overweight. Finally . . . decided to do something. I bought Jillians '30 Day Shred . . .' dvd (Amazon, under $10) and started counting calories. That was 5 months ago. I've lost 65 lbs. and 35 inches so far and am determined to go all the way. It's not too hard, it CAN be inexpensive, and like everyone else says, 'if I can do it . . . anyone can do it!' But I really, really mean that.

Jillian is fabulous! There are many sad stories we can tell, but until we get off of our haunches and do something to own our life, nothing is going to matter. No one can do it for you. Money issues suck but if you really want to eat right and work out you can do it and you can do it frugally.

I was one that watched Biggest Loser for years while hating myself and eating doritos with cheese dip or bowls of ice cream with my husband, we are enablers of each other. I knew I was acting like a fool and I kept it up. Yet I kept watching the show......

Well this week, I finally got off my ASS and started doing something about it. Nobody else can do it for me, or for you. I stopped obsessing about this diet or that diet or this particular food or that and started thinking about NURTURING myself, and NOURISHMENT that my body really wants rather than what is easy, fast and fills me up. It really is all in your head. Get out there and walk, it's free. Then alternate jogging/walking until you can go further and further. Check out couchto5k.com

Sure the dollar menu is cheap and filling, so is white bread. However, you pay dearly in your health. Eat less so you can afford fruit and veggies, stick to serving sizes and your bill will go down. I know cuz I am on the same road as you. I also have MS for 3 years now. If you want this, you will do it. One step in front of the other. "A journey of a thousand miles begins with one step". Crappy stuff happens in life, you can continue to be a victim of the past, or you can change something so tomorrow can be different. It's all your choice.

Losing weight isn't some kind of miracle, losing weight is exercise and nutrition.. and most of all.. MOTIVATION people seem to over complicate it, for years i wanted to lose weight until it got to one point where i had no self confidence or drive to do anything! .. i decided that i'd give the life style change another shot, ate healthy, drank plenty water... and exercised, sure enough i lost 30 KG... you have to believe that if you work hard enough at it ... you will lose the weight

I can't afford to pay for no help i've tried on my own can't do it, I'm 2 yrs clean and out or prison where i lost my weight the other times can't afford to go back just for weight loss now got kids playing college ball so proud but I'm big and fat! hate me don't want drugs no more please help me I'm an ex crack addict now just eat to make me happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!
