Jillian Michaels' knowledge of fitness training stems from years of martial arts and intense personal training. Best known as a former trainer and coach on NBC's hit TV show The Biggest Loser, Jillian Michaels was an amazing motivator, personal trainer and guide to nearly 15 million Biggest Loser viewers every week. Before she was a massive television star, Jillian struggled to maintain her own healthy weight. She knows firsthand the trials and commitment it requires to lose weight and keep it off. Now she's set her sights on helping you reach your goals!
Jillian is currently a co-host on the popular TV show The Doctors. Jillian loves the idea of being able to empower people with information and support to help them live their healthiest lives. Being a co-host on the show allows Jillian a platform to educate people on how to make health choices that will enable them to take control of their physical well being. Jillian is also working as a special health and wellness correspondent for the Dr. Phil show.
Jillian has created her own wellness media empire, and has written several books about weight loss and fitness, has a self-named Wii game, a self-named meal delivery program, an online diet program, a weekly radio show, a fitness DVD and is a contributor to Redbook Magazine and Cosmo Girl.

Jillian Michaels: 30-Day Shred: Jillian’s popular workout DVD is designed to help you drop those last 10-20 pounds in just 30 days. Jillian Michaels Fitness Ultimatum 2009: This Wii game allows you to create your own character and then follow along with Jillian's signature intense bootcamp-style workouts as her voice encourages you to exercise harder and use proper form. Jillian's lengthy resume proves she has the knowledge and experience to guide you on your weight loss journey.
Jillian Michaels (born 18 February, 1974) is a fitness expert who gained prominence as a trainer on the NBC weight-loss reality series ''The Biggest Loser'' (USA). Michaels was the trainer for the red team until 2006, when she was replaced by Kim Lyons. She returned in 2007 as the black team coach, competing against Kim's red team and Bob Harper's blue team. Kim decided not to return for the spring 2008 season, leaving Jillian as the only female trainer. Along with Bob Harper, Jillian is also a trainer in the Australian version of the show. She began her career in exercise because she was considerably overweight before her teenage years (though not as much as the contestants she whips into shape now). As a young adult, her mother enrolled her in a martial arts class, which was a new beginning for Jillian. Thereafter she dedicated herself to helping the overweight transform their lives and their bodies for the better.

I have a few comments regarding Jillian Michaels and her weight loss agenda. I have recovered from an eating disorder, and I would like to say that Jillian Michaels is my enemy in my endeavor to feel good about my body. I absolutely hate seeing her tell people that they can't eat something because it is BAD. First of all, no food is bad. What is bad is a lack of moderation. From what I have seen , she does not teach moderation. Rather, she teaches that a person should stay away from certain foods altogether. Everything I have heard her say sounds like an eating disorder mentality. To all you who admire Jillian, please listen. Moderation is the key. Exercise regularly, listen to your body, and eat all things in moderation. Also, examine what you love about yourself and build on those strengths. Why do we believe that Jillian Michaels and other Hollywood celebs know it all??? There is no perfect body and skinny is not the only way to be beautiful just because some millionairre trainer says it is. Start listening to your bodies instead of Hollywood. Your body will tell you when it is hungry and when it is full!!! Eating is an instinct and your brain regulates when you need to eat. In essence, I hope i haven't offended anyone- I just want you to know that you have the answers within yourselves. I guarantee you Jillian Michaels is not as healthy mentally as she looks physically.

Jillian is such a motivator and although her style of coaching on tv can come across a bit tough she certainly knows how to work the body and how to nourish it as well.
Man, I love this show, this is the first season I??ve watched and I started on the episode where Damien got booted off. I am so happy I watch it though, I started going to the gym last Monday and I don??t have a trainer but when I??m ready to quit it??s like I can hear Jillians voice saying, ??if you quit now, you??ll have to start all over again. ? and so far I haven??t quit. I signed up for the pound for pound challenge, and so far I??ve lost 6.5lbs in the week and a half I??ve been going to the gym and I??m eating good referring to the tips that we??re given on the show, eating my Fiber One cereal, eating Chicken skewers, man I love it! I??m a 5ft tall, 22 year-old that was weighing 163lbs and now weighs 157 thanks to this show! Thank you Jillian, Thank you Bob, thank you NBC!

Unfortunately, I have tried many times to sign up on Jillian Michael's site and it keeps kicking me out with an error that my postal code is not correct. I tried to sign up on the international site (Canada) but it won't let me. They really need to fix this problem.

Jillian has been a huge motivator and inspiration for me on my journey. I was a member of her site for part of the year in 2008 and thought it was great. The forums are a great place to go for advice or just to talk, especially if you need help getting over a tough bump in the road. Her book, Winning by Losing is definitely one to pick up. She really takes the time to explain how to calculate what your body needs to achieve success in weight loss.
