Jillian Michaels' knowledge of fitness training stems from years of martial arts and intense personal training. Jillian Michaels (born 18 February, 1974) is a fitness expert who gained prominence as a trainer on the NBC weight-loss reality series ''The Biggest Loser'' (USA). Michaels was the trainer for the red team until 2006, when she was replaced by Kim Lyons. She returned in 2007 as the black team coach, competing against Kim's red team and Bob Harper's blue team. Kim decided not to return for the spring 2008 season, leaving Jillian as the only female trainer. Along with Bob Harper, Jillian is also a trainer in the Australian version of the show. She began her career in exercise because she was considerably overweight before her teenage years (though not as much as the contestants she whips into shape now). As a young adult, her mother enrolled her in a martial arts class, which was a new beginning for Jillian. Thereafter she dedicated herself to helping the overweight transform their lives and their bodies for the better.

I just got into fitness and exercise about 2 months ago, I use a lot of Jillian's workout dvd's( shred it in 30 days, yoga, and my FAVORITE shred it with weights) I can't afford to run out and buy all the new stuff but I've found you can use household objects in place of weights and I'm seeing major results. I am a 29 year old born with a sickness called Prader-Wili-sydome where the brain can not tell the belly when it is full. But i know when i am full my mom and dad teach me when i was little. It truly sadden me to find, out jillian will be leaving the show. Jillian and Bob started this show. I'm one of jillian, biggest fans. I wanted to, sign up for the show. Now, I've had a change of heart. the show won't be the same once , she's gone. It's like watching American idol, once Simon left, some of the show ratings have went down. Jillian has inspired me to motivate myself. I frequently go on her website. I just don't know. I may not watch the show anymore after, this season. I will continue to strive and lose my weight on my own. Bob, hang in there. Jillian u will be missed. Thank you for hearing me out.

face it all. losing weight thru any name, tv, or show... all about the money.
Jenny craig, weight watcher, etc.. If you can't buy it, you can't lose it!! I wrote them all. We are one income family. Kids are grown, but we took in our Grandchildren. Their needs come first, thus why I began writing for help. Motivation number one need. but its a pkg. thing. you need it all, the time, the motivation,the money,the right foods, exercise, and of course the one sponsor help support. I am trying this again, alone, trying to keep positive. wishing you all fu=ind your help. I'm tired of the people with money, or looks, or a name, being the ones to look and feel good bout themselves. I'm a damn good woman,wife,mother,grandmother,friend,sister, and human being.

I signed up for this program for the meal planning, but found out when I paid the $54 subscription that it DOES NOT offer meal planning for vegetarians.

I contacted the company, and they refused to refund my money.

Also, the $54 3-month subscription DOES NOT include personalized training, as their website implies. You have to pay an additional weekly fee to access that feature.

I am starting a combinantion. I have been on the south beach diet for 4 months and lost 30 pounds. Now I am on a stand still. So I combined the powerwalk and cardio max weight loss dvd and the south beach diet; I lost 7 pounds in two weeks. Even though I have 65 more pounds to go I am more motivated than ever. I was very sore all over cuz I was using muscles I wasn't using before. Without those dvd's I feel I will still be struggling. Thank you.

Hi Jillian,
I need help! I'm 15 years old and am almost 300 pounds... i have tried EVERYTHING! i would love to be 150- 170 pounds. I've tried eating 1,600 calories, and weight watchers, medical weight loss, and this one thing, eating no carbs, I didn't lose a THING! i exercise for 45 minutes every other day, run one minute and 30 seconds, and walk 2 minutes...
