This diet works. Common sense dictates that if you need slightly more calories one day then for god sake eat a bit more. Lean meat, superfoods such as spinach, tuna, broccoli, prawns etc Stay off carbs best you can but allow yourself to cheat once in a while. Snack on celery, tomatoes in the evening. Drink homemade ginger tea. The only truth in this article is it is damn hard to follow but after Xmas excess you shouldn't need to eat much in January anyway. Great Detox.

What can you subsitute for the coffee? I only drink green tea

Ive used it for over 4 years and sure as hell works. You just need self discipline. I always lose 6 kgs. Ever time i see my weight is creeping in due to bad lifestyle too much ice cream chips and i reach the 90 Kgs in weight i do this diet for 13 days and i quickly lose 6 Kgs. By the time i start eating my normal diet i just add not more than 500 grams or 1 kg and the weight stays off. It works well for me. Of course you feel tired, lazy and hungry but so long as you keep drinking water nothing is impossible..

I have tried Royal danish diet but after a week of using it i get dizzy and have a terrible headaches.What causes that?

It works for me. I tried some diets that have you consuming even less calories than this one and they were not producing nothing close to comparable results.
On this diet I lose typically 0.5 kg per day and rebound approximately 1 kg total after the diet is over. This leaves me with net weight loss of approximately 5 kg in 13 days. I'm repeating it every 2-3 years.

I absolutely think this diet works. 2.5 years ago I did this diet. Lost 19 pounds in 13 days and kept it off untill recently when by my fault I started eating a lot. Its little tough first few days but I think it's all mental game. It helps if you have all meals prepared ahead ( i had someone do it for me) so it was easy to follow. If you do cheat even with a small candy ( anything out of the diet) it will not work and yoh can stop it. Try in few months again. I was eating normal after I was done with the diet, always freaking out that I gained pounds next day but it did not happen. Great way to take a first step towards healty living. I will be doing it again in few days and hope it works again!!! You can do it its only 13 days. If anything its great way to detox your body from all the junk we put in. Good luck.

i've accidentally had a small piece of sweet...im on my day 3 can i still proceed with my diet? i've started The Royal Danish Hospital diet it's been 3 days and my mistake i have had a sweet can i still continue with my diet normally?

I am on Day 8 and have lost 4 KG so far. I was 70 KG and 168 CM tall. So losing 5% of my body weight in a week's time is a healthy and acceptable weight loss for me. I am happy about the result but will definitely continue to watch what I eat and exercise regularly after the 13 days and forever to keep fit and healty.

i'm on this diet, but my menu is different. (lots of grapefruits, toast and eggs and meat) So far I lost 7 lbs and it hasn't even been a week yet. I feel fine so far.

this article is economic with the truth. My husband and I followed the diet. He lost 8 kg and I lost 4 kg in 13 days. it is not so rich in cholesterol, one eats 6 eggs in one week and not every day, the same with meat. it is very low caloric indeed as one can only eat small amounts of meat with lots of lettuce and spinach. No alcohol allowed. Fruits, yoghurt and cottage cheese are allowed.
