Crispy Chili Twists

You've never had pasta, or chili, like this.

Yield: Serves 2


  • 2 cups rotini, uncooked
  • Vegetable oil
  • 2 Tbs. grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 tsp. chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp. seasoned salt
  • 1/8 tsp. garlic powder


  1. Cook and drain pasta as directed on package
  2. Rinse with cold water; drain very thoroughly (excess water on pasta will cause oil to spatter)
  3. Heat oil (1 inch) to 375 degrees F
  4. Fry pasta, about 1 cup at a time, about 2 minutes or until crisp and light golden brown, stirring if necessary to separate
  5. Drain on paper towels
  6. Mix remaining ingredients in large bowl
  7. Toss with pasta until evenly coated

How can this possibly be 84 calories when 1 cup of uncooked rotini is 280 calories, and then you deep fry it in oil!
