Cynthia Sass, one of the authors of the Flat Belly Diet explains the benefits of avocados. They are not only a great source of antioxidants, they're also help the body absorb other types of antioxidant. Avocados are rich in many nutrients, including vitamin K, folate and potassium.

MUFAs, or monounsaturated fatty acids, are an important part of the Flat Belly Diet. Other MUFA foods are nuts, seeds and olives.
