Do You Know the Best Diet Pills of 2024?
If you're looking to curb your appetite, now you can take a shot. Slim Shots triggers the body's natural appetite control mechanism, also known as the ileal brake, satisfying users for long periods of time and in turn, allowing them to eat less, without sacrificing or depriving themselves of tasty foods. You can drink Slim Shots by itself or mix it with your favorite food or drink.
For the best results, you take two shots a day (20 calories each) the first week, then after that, just once during breakfast. Slim Shots is supposed to start working a couple hours after you take it. It has no stimulants, so there are no jittery side effects.
The company rightly advises that you need to do Slim Shots in conjunction with a balanced diet and exercise.
- The Slim Shots website offers clinical studies
- It doesn't act like a cure all, stating that you need to live a healthy lifestyle as well
- Convenient cups travel with you
- No side effects
- Slim Shot is not FDA approved
- There isn't a clear and concise idea of how it actually works, doesn't give specifics about how the ingredients affect change
- Each shot contains 20 calories
- Ingredient Phenylalanine (50% of aspartame), can have dangerous effects for diabetics and those with ADD/ADHD
- Should not be taken by those patients with PKU
Slim Shots contains natural oat, palm oil, artificial vanilla flavor, sweetener, aspartame (Phenylalanine) and beta carotene color.
Phenylalanine makes of 50% of aspartame, an artificial sweetner commonly used in diet products. ADD/ADHD patients and diabetics may experience negative side effects as a result of consuming this ingredient. Those with PKU, or at risk for PKU, should avoid Phenylalanine as it can cause brain damage or even death.
Unlike many other supplement websites, the Slim Shots site gives relatively in-depth nutritional advice. The exercise advice is very rudimentary: Commit to work out three times a week for 30 to 45 minutes. It also advises that you join a fitness class or devise a home workout routine that incorporates both aerobic and strength training.
The editorial tone on the Slim Shots website doesn't lead you to believe that the company is in the snake oil business. There are clinical studies posted, and good advice about how you should eat and exercise. Even though the language is not over-hyped, there still is some question as to how Slim Shots actually works.
Ultimately, it's up to the consumer to decide if it's worth, um, a shot.

Palm Oil is a saturated fat, (semi solid at room temperature) besides being very unhealthy, it wreaks havoc on the rain forests where it is harvested. Fats do make you less hungry, but this cannot be the answer!

I just bought this two days ago at Wal-Mart, and for the price $24.99 I thought it was pretty reasonable for what it seems to offer. I did feel a difference. It curbed my appetite and I'm a snacker REALLY BAD! I think this product just might work for me. I've taken it for two days and yes I can honestly say it's doing what it says.

I agree with Jimmy. They're just oils - why not take coconut oil and save tons of money? Or olive oil? Both are oils that are good for you, and mix well with food.

I just started them. I've got a small frame and need to lose about 20lbs, but I can eat like A COW!!! I'm always, always hungry and always thinking about food. After the first day, I really did feel fuller, maybe even a little nauseas. The sick feeling passed and I've been sticking to the slim shots. So far they are working oretty well. I can go for a whole four hours without thinking of food. Also, you can even mix it in a diet soda and it taste like a cream-cola!

For those that just started on this "diet" product and report excellent results... i'ts the placebo effect. If you get several such reports from individuals that have been on it for at least one month, there may be something to it...

I needed to loose weight for health reasons and began a program in the Phoenix, A area using shots of HcG. These worked well, but I did not like the affects of the appetite supressants the doctor prescribed. I tried the slim shots and found they work well in supressing the appetite. In answer to Greg, as with any change in diet, though, healthy eating and exercise is always going to be a part of it. Diet is a lifestyle change to train one to eat and live healthy. These do seem to work.

I'm about to start my prom diet, and I saw slim shots advertising in cosmo, but reading this article scared me but to see Dee's comment, I'm still curious. Should I try them, are they safe? Do they really not work, and is considered not that safe? Ah, help someone?

It's really pretty simple. It's a blend of oils or fats. Fats help the body feel full as the body requires more time (relative to carbohydrates) to process. It's not a placebo or some magic expanding potion, it's just oils. You could get the same effect from taking a tablespoon of coconut or flax seed oil. The key is that you need to find oils that are medium-complex or simple. The product is nothing more than palm and oat oil. The oils are mixed with water to create an emulsion (because everytime you mix oil and water you get an emulsion). Then some vanilla flavoring is added with an artificial sweetener. Nothin to it. I don't think it's a gimmick because it is simply oil.

I actually bought these yesterday and can tell a difference after each one that makes me feel full. I understand if you're overweight, it doesn't keep you full as long as someone that might be smaller, but I was full for quite a few hours. I read somewhere that when the two oils (the ingredients) mix with your stomach acid, they expand, therefore creating a feeling of fullness. So far, I like it..

I plan to research this diet some more but from this article it sounds suspicious. I live in San Antonio and we had a huge fad with a product called Body Solutions that also stressed the diet and exercise aspect. Investigation of the product by authorities revealed that the pills weren't doing anything but people were losing weight through a healthier lifestyle. I'm wondering if this isn't something along those same lines. Diets seem to be recycled and called something new very often but more times than not are actually just more of the same.
