Please note, the product DietsInReview.com has reviewed is available at Nuphedrine.com. There is confusion amongst consumers about the color and packaging of the pills. In 2008, Nuphedrine changed manufacturers, and in the process updated their packaging and the color of the pills. The current Nuphedrine product is sold in a box with individual packets inside.
Nuphedrine is a highly-sought after, but highly controversial diet supplement. It contains two key ingredients which have been implicated in aiding weight loss: Advantra-Z and Hoodia. Advantra-Z is a patented form of synephrine or citrus aurantium, a similar product to the now banned ephedra. Hoodia is a cactus plant that hails from South Africa where it has long been used as an appetite suppressant for tribal men on long treks through the countryside. It has recently gained enormous popularity in the US. Nuphedrine also contains Slimaluma, a patented product that is also supposed to suppress appetite.
Nuphedrine is not supposed to cause any side effects. It does not contain any stimulants like caffeine or taurine.

INGREDIENTS
Nuphedrine contains certified, 20X South African Hoodia, Advantra-Z in the 30X potency and Slimaluma.
Here is a breakdown of the three ingredients of Nuphedrine and how they work to help you lose weight:
Advantra-Z alone is supposed to help you burn an extra 500 calories a day with its 30X "Extra Strength" concentration. Advantra-Z claims that it enhances weight loss, increases lean muscle mass, improves athletic performance and suppresses appetite.
Hoodia contains a compound called ‘P57’, which is a molecule that makes you feel full. But only pure hoodia contains this special molecule. Many studies have shown that even though a product may claim it is pure hoodia or certified hoodia, it is not the real thing. The hoodia contained in NuPhedrine is concentrated 20 times and has a standardized guaranteed 20:1 ratio rating.
The third ingredient in Nuphedrine , Slimaluma is sends signals to your brain while you’re eating telling you that you’re full. Given its effects on satiety, a little amount of food can go along way in tricking you into feeling that you’ve eaten enough to quell your appetite even though very little food has been consumed.
ADMINISTRATION
It is recommended that you take three capsules of Nuphedrine per day. Two capsules should be taken in the morning on an empty stomach or 1-2 hours after eating. The third capsule should be taken at mid-day to help get you through the evening.
DIET and EXERCISE
There are no specific dietary or exercise recommendations while taking any Nuphedrine but the company does recommend that you follow a sensible eating and exercise plan.

i started today on recommended dosage. i had a low calorie diet the whole week (while preparing to take this) and i exercised 3x wk, 30 minutes a day. I got shaky, dehydrated, constipated, unfocused and antsy. i really wonder if i should carry on for a week, coz i hate these feelings. does anyone feel this? btw my pills are red and white.

TO "ONTHEEDGE" If you have never been on anything very strong, I think you will at least feel a lot more energy. I personally never experienced the appetite suppresant/hoodia effect. I doubled up the amt of pills that I took & I still didn't feel any less hungry - I just got extremely jittery. I worked out 6-7 times a week. I did 6-7 cardio workouts & I added going to Curves 4/times a week about the time I started Nuphedrine. That was six weeks ago & I only lost 2 pounds. But that's just me. I exercised probably too much & took Nuphedrine & it didn't really work for me. But I have read almost all of the posts & you may not have had time b/c of your scheduele. It seems to me that the people do very little exercise or only do moderate amounts of exercise report alot of success with this product. Me I finally went to a local physician for help. He had me try two rx supplements & I lost 7lbs in 2 weeks. But since you like to work out intensively the, I bet you will really like the energy boost this product will hopefully give you. Then watch those lbs drop. GOOD LUCK!!

To start i am a 20 yr old female who is at the present time 150 lbs. I have been struggling with my weight since i was in high school. It got really bad when i went to collage, and began eating really bad because of the munchies and such...iv tried everything under the sun. The only thing that has worked for me was weight watchers. However for the past 3 yrs iv have been "on a diet" and have remain in the same weight range. For the past 3 months iv been eating extremly healthy and have been working out for 6 intense days a week, which is very time consuming becuse i am a nursing student. I have not lost 1 single pound. I am praying that this works for me, because as my name says im very depressed and am on the edge. Ill keep you posted as to when the pills come and how they work..

3-7-2008: I paid the $2 extra to have them arrive quickly and they still took about a week. That being said, I just started taking them this morning. I am a 32 year old, female, 5'3" weighing 163 as of this morning. I'll post back in a week or so with an update.

Everyone who is experiencing weight loss of several pounds per day or week...How much do you need to lose? It doesn't work the same if you have to lose a hundred pounds over someone who wants to lose 20. Guys also lose quicker. I want to hear from a woman in her 40's who needs to lose less than 15 pounds who has taken these pills. I started yesterday. I haven't been nibbling on chocolate and junk but I'm still eating 3 regular meals. My husband is taking them too and says he doesn't feel any different. I got a little headachy yesterday but not bad like some pills. I've done hydroxy cut and others with no results. Am looking forward to using a pill that actually works.

To InaF: Yes there are other people who have posted on this board who ordered Nuphedrine & don't live in the US. There are alot of posts to read up there, but I think you'll find one. I also think you will eventually get your order, mine came much later than it was supposed to & I seemed to have probs w/ the customer service people when I called about it not arriving on time. But just when I'd all but given up, it came in the mail. Be patient & hope that you are one of the lucky ones for which Nuphedrine is effective. Good Luck!

I don't notice anything on this nuphedrine stuff. Not even when I double up on it twice/day. Been doing this for a couple of weeks. I'm overly hungry as usual & I haven't dropped a pound yet. I started exercising 6 times a week for an hour. Maybe this pill works for some of you all out there. But I have to report that if anything I think my metabolism is slower? WELL - AFTER ALL MY WORRYING ABOUT THIS NUHEDRINE BEING SO STRONG THAT MY PULSE WOULD RACE TOO FAST & UNCONTROLLABLY & THAT I WOULD GET SHAKY & JITTERY. NADA. NOTHING NOT A THING. TOOK TWO. DIDN'T EVEN KNOW THAT I HAD ANYTHING! My appetite was enourmous, didn't even seem like the product had any authentic Hoodia in it. Let's Hope The Product At Least Lives Up To The Claim That It Burns An Extra 500 Calories A Day. Skeptical, Though. Maybe I should just go back to the Diet Doctor here & get the Prescription Phentermine that I am used too. It hops me a little, but I get used to it & IT DOES SUPRESS MY APPETITE - BUT DOES NOTHING TO BOOST THE METABALISM. I just had such high hopes ( & still do) that the Nuphedrine would give my metabolism the boost that I was hoping for. I don't know Phentermine hasn't done as much for me as it did years ago. I lost alot on it. But this year, I lost 5 pounds & I worked my butt off jogging & resistence training just lose those 5 on Phentermine. And then I hit a plateau & couldn't drop another ounce - no matter how hard I tried. Maybe I was expecting too much from Nuphedrine. I am older than when I lost weight fast before. I'm old and I may never get the weight off.

None of you are going to die form taking NuPhedrine and it won't hurt you to take two at once. How do I know? I've tried it! NuPhedrine is a huge scam! I never even got the refund I requested.

Tried my Nuphedrine today, AND EVEN THOUGH I AM ANXIETY PRONE & I AM ALSO VERY SENSITIVE TO MEDICATIONS - I DID NOT GET GET SHAKY OR JITTERY LIKE I HAD WORRIED ABOUT BEFORE. I was worried beause most medications (RX or OTC) make my pulse race, while the majority of people who take the exact same thing get sleepy. Don't Know If It Will Help Me Lose Any Weight, Yet. But I Was Motivated To Do A Cardio Work Out & A Resistence Training Circuit. Just Have To keep My Fingures Crossed That I'll Lose Some Weight - Because I was Cutting Calories, Doing Cardio & Resistence Training Before & Still Couldn't Lose At All. Also neither the morning Pill nor the afternoon Pill seemed to curb my appetite at all. Any Suggestions? Does It Get Better? SHOULD I TAKE TWO PILLS AT ONCE? PLEASE ANY SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE APPRECIATED! THANKS!

I have been waiting 5 weeks for them and to be honest I am going to shove them straight back in the box and get my cash back. If that girl Laura folks died then I want out. I need to change my behaviour not but tablets. Easier said that done I know but those tv programmes about obesity weight loss surgury, crash diets, diet pill addiction has me feeling pretty nervious so I think its time to dust of the walking shoes, buy organic vegies and start cooking, exercising and just get on with it.
