Day #1 of the Sacred Heart Diet, even after a mixed bunch of reviews/articles. Eating cantelope chunks and drinking decaf coffee black with half a packet of Splenda. I can't find any confirmation anywhere as to whether or not you're allowed to use zero calorie sweeteners, so I'm taking the risk, anyway - I GOTS to have my coffee! :-)

Although it is referred to as a "fad diet" my many, I still do feel there is value to this diet, as long as it is followed by healthy eating habits. My teenage daughter and I are not very overweight, but we did used to eat much more healthy than we've been in the past 6 months or so, so we are seeing this as an opportunity to get back on track, as others have said, to sort of jump-start / revive that healthy lifestyle again!

I have gained 15 lbs. in the past 6 months, so I'm very interested to see the results for me, for this week. Will update (promise!). I do Zumba once a week, but am not a regular excerciser.

I'm on day five. So far I've lost six lbs and I do feel more energetic. This is the second time I've tried.this diet and I'm seeing more results now that I've added exercise. I go through the soup way too fast though!

Day 3. Weighed myself this morning and I have "lost 3 pounds" since I weighed myself 2 mornings ago. I do feel more energetic. Thus far, the diet has opened my eyes to how calorie-full and wasteful breads,chips,pastas etc are! We'll see what I weigh tomorrow..banana day!

On day 2...haven't noticed any changes at all except more energy and not really feeling lethargic as I normally do when I eat crummy foods. I am typically a healthy person, but have been indulging for the past 6 months or so and have been making a lot of poor diet choices (chips, cookies, icecream, you name it). I go to the gym for 90 minutes a day (I am Pam in the lower comment box, I used my middle name before I signed up for an account), so hopefully the combination of no junk foods and my regualr exercise will help the healthy lifestyle process along. I don't intend on going back to my old eating habits, I'm using this as a kickstart program, but I am curious to see if I will lose weight, as it says. We'll see! For all the healthy folks out there who would like a review from someone who has done it, here it will be!

This plan sounds amazing! i hope its not too good to be true. I am also 16 145 lbs and 5'5 im planning on starting the diet saturday and exercising for 30 minutes 5 out of the 7 days my goal is to lose 5 lbs per week of the diet! let you all know how it goes!

I have been on/off this diet for just over 5 weeks and have lost 23 LBS. I lost 11 lbs first week, then went off for Weeks 2, 3 , 4, I ate veggies and lean meat with soup every day. I cut out ALL flour, sugar, pasta, bread and white rice. I lost 2 1/2 lb week 2, 1 1/2 lb week 3, and 1 lb week 4. I went back on the diet and lost 6 lbs on week 5. I will continue to alternate on/off until the end of March when I go on vacation.

Im starting on monday because i have 2 parties this weekend. I am 16, female, 5 foot 5 and i weight 145lbs. I wish to get to 130 by the end of the first week. Then i wish to reach 125, and eventually 120... but im in no rush. Will keep you guys posted! :D

I am on day 4 and i have actually gained 4 pounds! so upsetting! i have been following it to the T and worked out @ least an hr a day of cardio. I dont get it?! should i just give up???

So I lost a total of 14 pounds in 7 days. I lost 4 pounds on Day 1, Days 2-6 I lost 2 pounds each day. On day 7, I didn't lose anything.

I made a few changes to the diet. In the soup, I used chicken broth instead of beef. I did not include tomatoes, because I don't like them.

On Day 4, I used Almond Milk instead of Skim Milk. My rationale was simply that I like it more than Skim.

On Day 5, I ate watermelon instead of tomatoes. I searched for recommendations online, and watermelon seemed to be the only one I could find so that's what I used.

I liked the diet and felt great while on it. I was a little ticked off that I didn't lose anything on the 7th day, but I wasn't really surprised. Brown rice is healthy, but has around 250 calories a serving.

I also kept my medium iced coffee with Splenda and cream every day. I can't give up my coffee and I don't like milk in it. I don't think this hurt me, because I still did pretty good.

I am trying to psych myself up to do this again. My soup was actually delicious, and like I said I felt really good while on the diet. Its hard though, especially Day #2. Reading the success stories helps, but I just need to get back into it. I would love to repeat like a lot of the people posting do. I want to lose 60 pounds and I want to lose it fast. We'll see what happens. :)
