What is it?

Dexaprine is a weight loss diet pill that’s described as an all-day thermogenic for potent fat loss and energy. It’s also said to enhance mood and provide rapid weight loss.

The company claims this is a safe one a day diet pill that provides up to 12 hours of energy. It’s also meant to suppress appetite and provide mood support. The official website mentions that with Dexaprine, one doesn’t have to wake up feeling irritable and groggy. This comprehensive review will go over the potential side effects, customer reviews, and what possible weight loss benefits it may have. The top ranked diet pill supplements are featured in this comprehensive list.

Dexaprine Ingredients and Side Effects
Acacia Rigidula Extract Citrus Aurantium Caffeine Anhydrous Green Tea Extract
Rauwolfia Serpentina Isopropyloctopamine Rice Flour Magnesium Stearate

Acacia Rigidula: Shrub that has different chemicals used for their stimulant and athletic boosting effects.  One of these chemicals is BMPEA, which is banned by the FDA due to health concerns.

Web MD also adds:

“There isn’t enough reliable information available to know if Acacia Rigidula is safe. There have been several reported cases of increased heart rate and heart palpitations”

There was also one case of a person suffering from a heart attack, possibly from the use of this additive. Supplement companies will often include this shrub in order to sneak in additives like PEA and BMPEA, both of which have been shown to be potentially dangerous.

Examine.com also adds that there’s a:

“lack of evidence for Acacia rigidula’s effects and the nonexistence of safety testing”

The FDA also gave a warning letter to potential users:

“A. rigidula as a dietary ingredient, these products are deemed to be adulterated”

This is due to a lack of safety testing and proven benefit. It’s unknown why the makers of Dexaprine continue to add this unproven and banned ingredient.

The FDA has linked it to serious possible side effects, no weight loss benefits, and a risk for abuse when mixed with other stimulants.  It’s also unknown how much of the extracts PEA and BMPEA are found from this additive. Citrus Aurantium: More commonly known as bitter orange, this stimulant is added to increase metabolism and burn fat. It stimulates the central nervous system, raises blood pressure, increases heart rate, and squeezes blood vessels.

In regards to safety, Web MD adds:

“POSSIBLY UNSAFE when taken as a supplement for a medical purpose such as weight loss”

Possible side effects are many, it can include:

  • Headaches, migraines, and ringing in the ears.
  • Heart attack, stroke, and high blood pressure.
  • Sensitivity to the sun, nausea, and rapid heart rate.

Especially when mixed alongside caffeine, this additive is known to have an increased risk for side effects. There have been issues with heart attacks caused by this mixture of stimulants.

Caffeine Anhydrous: Dehydrated form of caffeine used as a cheap way to increase energy, suppress appetite, and boost metabolism. The company says there’s only a small amount of caffeine added, but they fail to mention the exact amount. This makes it impossible to properly dose this additive.

Possible side effects can include:

  • Insomnia, restlessness, and jitters.
  • Rapid heart rate, muscle spasms, and difficulty relaxing.
  • Cardiovascular problems, stroke, and heart attack.
  • Nausea, vomiting, and headaches.

When taking unknown amounts of caffeine, there’s an increased risk for possible side effects.

Green Tea Extract: Common tea that has antioxidants and caffeine.  The National Center for Complementary and Integrative health has reviewed this ingredient and found:

“There are not enough reliable data to determine whether green tea can aid in weight loss”

They also found issues with possible side effects:

“There have been some case reports of liver problems in people taking concentrated green tea extracts”

It can also lead to side effects that include:

  • Jitters, cold sweats, and muscle spasms.
  • Inability to focus, insomnia, and rapid heart rate.
  • Irritability, mood swings, and depression.
  • Diarrhea, nausea, and vomiting.
  • Anxiety, increased bathroom usage, and cardiovascular issues.

Rauwolfia Serpentina: Plant found in parts of Asia. It’s claimed to have many benefits including anti-inflammatory, and mood enhancing effects.

It’s often only advised to take it under the guidance of a healthcare professional. It can lead to many different side effects such as:

  • Nausea, stomach cramps, and diarrhea.
  • Vomiting, loss of appetite, and nasal congestion.
  • Drowsiness, convulsions, and slowed reaction time.

Isopropyloctopamine: This ingredient is used as a way to affect the brain and hormones. It’s unknown exactly what kind of an effect his may have on the body, as clinical studies on its effectiveness are limited.

It’s claimed that it can help with fat loss, but no evidence of this exists. A study by the Netherlands Food and Consumer Product Safety Authority found:

“was linked to 11 reported adverse reactions, including heat problems and in one case cardiac arrest”

This clinical study saw that many have experienced serious symptoms from this additive. Quality research was conducted to find the top 10 ranked diet pills, click here to see the list.
