What is it?

Leptigen is a weight loss pill claiming to offer safe effects through its clinically studied ingredients. Its proprietary blend has 2-patented ingredients, as well as a “moderate caffeine boost” for what’s claimed to be a boost to one’s metabolism.

The name Leptigen comes from the hunger satiety hormone called leptin. This hormone also helps regulate energy and promote appetite loss, which is also claimed as a benefit. It’s also used to help control blood sugar levels, decrease BMI, and decreased fatty tissue. Are these claims actually backed by real science? What if any are the results you can expect? This Leptigen review will provide you with the all the information to make an informed decision.

In reviewing many weight loss diet pills, our review experts have found Sletrokor to be the most effective. It offers natural plant based extracts that are free of stimulants and made to help promote well rounded weight loss. For more information on Sletrokor click on the link cited here.

Leptigen Ingredients and Side Effects

Ingredients:

Green Tea Extract Meratrim ChromeMate Natural Caffeine USP
Gelatin Cellulose Silicon Dioxide Magnesium Stearate

Green Tea Extract: An antioxidant rich common tea that’s used to increase metabolism. Though it has claimed weight loss benefits, it’s likely the only reason for this is because of its caffeine.

Though caffeine is not a long lasting metabolism booster, much of its effects are lost after repeat use. Green tea extract can also lead to side effects with continual use:

  • Dizziness.
  • Ringing in the ears.
  • Tremors.
  • Heartburn.
  • Heart ach and rapid heart rate.
  • Sleep problems.
  • Rashes and itching.
  • Convulsions.

Several other issues can arise with green tea extract. It’s not a very effective weight loss ingredient, as its effects are often reduced with routine use.

Also, there have been cases of people experiencing liver damage from supplements containing green tea extract. This cheap ingredient is often added to supplements since it contains antioxidants, however, it’s unknown if all batches of it are safe.

Meratrim: Patented ingredient made by the InterHealth Inc company. It’s made up of a combination of Garcinia mangostana fruit rind and sphaeranthus indicus flower.

It’s claimed to be a safe weight loss blend.

Examine.com reviewed sphaeranthus indicus and they mention how because of a lack of studies:

“(there’s no) sufficient evidence to support its usage”

Garcinia mangostana has also been reviewed. According to Web MD:

“there is no scientific information about whether mangosteen works for any medical condition”

“not enough reliable information to know if mangosteen products are safe”

The University of London also ran a clinical study and confirmed:

“evidence for the health benefits of these products is still lacking”

So it’s unknown if this ingredient blend would have any effect. There’s a lack of studies except by the proprietary makers, though their information could be biased.

Due to a lack of studies, it’s unknown if these ingredient would be safe for use either long or short-term.

Natural Caffeine USP: A total of 75 mg of this common stimulant is added to Leptigen.  It’s used to increase mental focus, metabolism, and reduce appetite. Though it’s important to limit this ingredient since it’s only known to cause temporary benefits.

Much of the positive effects are lost after repeat use. Also, it can lead to several side effects:

  • Nausea and digestive issues.
  • Insomnia and restlessness.
  • Rapid heart rate, increased blood pressure, and cardiovascular damage.
  • Irritability and mood swings.
  • Feelings of paranoia, anxiety, and depression.
  • Withdrawal symptoms.
  • Spasms, jitters, and trembling.

2 capsules of Leptigen provide 150 mg of caffeine, which is roughly the same amount as 2 cups of coffee. It’s important to watch your intake of caffeine, as it can interact negatively with any other stimulants. Also, if taken late in the day it can promote insomnia.

The makers of Leptigen do mention that:

“Most people… do not complain of any side effects from the caffeine”

However, when you read the “Customer Opinions of Leptigen” section, you’ll see how this claim is not true.

ChromeMate: A patented ingredient mixing both chromium and niacin.  It’s claimed to help maintain healthy blood sugar, weight ,and cholesterol.

To those on a healthy diet, it’s not necessary to supplement with any more niacin or chromium. Many foods already contain these ingredients in high enough amounts. This blend can also lead to side effects that include:

  • Irritation to the stomach lining, leading to nausea.
  • Headaches and dizziness.
  • Liver damage and heart irregularities.

The University of Mississippi Medical center also mentions that this mixture can lead to:

“permanent organ damage”

So it’s important to know whether or not you’re already getting enough chromium and niacin. If you don’t need anymore, it’s important to be cautious. Excess amounts can be potentially dangerous.

Leptigen Quality Of Ingredients

leptigenThough it does have natural ingredients, the added caffeine and green tea extract can lead to stimulant like side effects.

Also, ChromeMate features a mixture of minerals that aren’t needed for most people on a healthy diet. Excess amounts can lead to serious damage.

Finally there’s Meratrim. Neither of the ingredients added to this patented blend have sufficient evidence to show they’re good for supplement use. The only studies available come from the makers, which is possibly biased.

The Price and Quality of Leptigen

A one-month supply sells for $109.95. This is fairly expensive since both caffeine and green tea extract are fairly cheap, and you can actually find caffeine in green tea.

This must mean that most of the cost comes from Meratrim and ChromeMate. Though ChromeMate is made from two common minerals that you can find in foods like eggs, nuts, meats, and many vegetables. Meratrim as mentioned has ingredients that haven’t been proven to be effective by unbiased sources.

For the high price you’re paying, it would be easier to just have healthy foods. This can replace all of the active ingredients in Leptigen.

Business of Leptigen

Green Bracket LLC makes this product and they can be reached via the following:

Phone Number: (800) 555-3951

Address: 4135 Laguna St.

Coral Gables, Florida 33146

They also have a contact form for direct emails. Finding the companies name was difficult to find, and it was only mentioned on another unaffiliated website.

They currently have a total of 42 complaints on their Better Business Bureau page. The site also mentions that there’s a:

“pattern of complaints from consumers”

“Some consumers report multiple charges of $89.95”

“As March 17th 2024 BBB reviewed company report and  determined that the pattern still exists”

Many people claim to have been tricked by the alleged 14-day trial,  which then extends to an automatic renewal program. People have tried to cancel within time, and the company has suggested that people who don’t cancel in time lose $89.95.

People have complained that the company refuses to honor their own money back return:

“their whole strategy is a scam”

“terms and condition of “trial” are anything but clear”

“they won’t refund me my money”

The 42 negative company reviews all mention how they couldn’t get a refund even within the free trial period. The company does respond to these complaints, and they often state that the customers are in the wrong.

The company also mentions in their FAQ section that:

“Many people report seeing a different within the first month”

“but results vary depending on exercise and diet”

However, they never cite all these testimonials, and by saying exercise and diet play a role, this could mean that the supplement isn’t strong enough.

Customer Opinions of Leptigen

A few reviews are listed online. Here’s what some had to say on their Amazon.com page:

“I’m still trying to drop the weight I gained on the product”

“Was horrible and made me violently sick”

“Sucks and doesn’t work at all”

“this is the biggest fraud”

All the reviews on their Amazon page are extremely negative. Not only did some actually experience side effects, but there were also issues with weight gain.

It’s unclear what could have caused weight gain. However, it’s possible the side effects came from either the caffeine, or through excess amounts of chromium and niacin.

How Does Leptigen Compare?

Conclusion – Does Leptigen Work?

If you still intend on purchasing Leptigen it’s important that you understand some important details. This brand does have a nice website, and they do make clear what their ingredients are meant to do. However, because of the numerous complaints against the companies lack of a money back return, and due to the negative reviews claiming side effects and weight gain, you’re better off using a truly safe and effective brand.

When choosing a supplement it’s important to make sure you’re getting a quality brand full of studied ingredients backed by unbiased science. The best options for weight loss should be free of any stimulants, and customers should rate them favorably.

One of the top tier brands coming out of 2024 is Sletrokor. Not only does it only contain natural ingredients, but also customers have agreed, it works. It’s also free of side effects and its company has been reviewed favorably for its customer service.

Sletrokor also has a certified 100% money back guarantee, and they feature real science to back up their ingredients.

I did a couple of research about the drug; I also checked with a trusted physician who gave me a go ahead. So, I’m not surprised at how well it has worked for me. Leptigen suits me perfectly; I eat and exercise well, and have been able to shed as much weight as have always wanted to.

Vera says:

This is one of those diet supplements that I find difficult to recommend. Its side effect is close to zero… But its meratrim content makes it unsuitable for anyone who has a history of hypertension.

Jack says:

I ended up spending even more, trying to fight the allergy I suffered after using these pills.

Ashlee says:

What kind of allergies did you get? My entire body is covered in hives! Is that what happened to you?

Tenisha says:

Thankee for the warning.

My friend dislike Leptigen this company customer support is bogus! Marcella had a terrible reaction to this cheesy supplement with problems in stomach and had a problem getting a refund.

Angie says:

FRAUDS! Do not go for the free trial, you are entering into a autoship monthly payment that is impossible to cancel. Customer service very friendly and helpful but that’s where it ends. They lie! Nothing will be stopped even the amount of phone calls you have with them. I don’t mind paying for a product I receive and can send back for a refund but so far this hasn’t happened but yet more payments off my credit card and so called shipping orders to my email address!

Dani says:

I’ve adjusted my diet and exercise regularly and decided to try out Leptigen. I went for the 15-day trial, knowing I’d probably cancel anyway. When I called to cancel, I was disappointed with the lack of proper customer care. The personal trainer on the phone patronized me, saying I was one of those people who didn’t understand supplements and constantly shifted from one week to the next, “expecting to take a pill on Monday and lose 3 pounds by Friday.” I told him that no, I wasn’t one of those people, I just wanted to try the supplement out for a while. He then offered to give me a 2-month trial with a discount. I said no thanks. He then said I was being lazy and so I sarcastically replied, “Sure, I guess I’m lazy.” He proceeded to go into a little speech about how he’s a personal trainer, he went to school for this so I should listen, and that I shouldn’t get defensive when people give advice. He then offered to give a cheaper discount for 2-months and I knew he was just trying to just get me to sign up. So I firmly said, “No, I just want to cancel.” I received an email notification for cancellation and I hope that I don’t see a statement on my account for this product. Terrible “Customer Service” and complete rude behavior from a “personal trainer” who needs to stop acting like he knows everyone’s situation. Being polite goes a long way, Leptigen.
