Olay Regenerist Eye Cream is a daily eye treatment that reduces puffiness and dark circles, making skin look younger and smoother with use. The makers of this eye cream claim this product works to offset the visible signs of stress, aging and fatigue.

Olay Regenerist Eye Cream claims to repair skin at a cellular level, plumping the delicate under eye skin, while improving the skin’s natural defenses against oxidative damage. According to the website, this product also works to improve water retention and hydration.

Kremovage is made from a blend of potent, yet gentle anti-aging ingredients—peptides, squalane, green tea and cucumber, along with ocean-based retinol. Olay Regenerist Eye Cream Ingredients and Side Effects

Olay has provided consumers with an official ingredient list, as well as a breakdown of some of the key components in the Regenerist blend. Here’s a look at some of the active ingredients below:

Peptides Comfrey Root Green Tea Extract
Cucumber Extract Mica & Titanium Oxide

Peptides: Peptides are small chains of amino acids used to penetrate the surface layer of the skin, helping to stimulate collagen production and cell regeneration. Peptides are used to improve the skin’s tone and texture, as well as reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.

Comfrey Root: Comfrey root contains a chemical compound known as allatonin, which works to reduce pain and inflammation, as well as stimulate the growth of new skin cells.

Green Tea Extract: Green tea has strong antioxidant effects, which work to protect the skin cells against damage and protect cell function. Green tea extract has a soothing effect on the skin—reducing inflammation and improving microcirculation.

Cucumber Extract: Cucumber extract is comprised of proteins, lipids, vitamin C and minerals and has a calming, antioxidant effect on the skin. Cucumber extract helps the skin retain moisture and may reduce the appearance of bags under the eyes.

Mica and Titanium Oxide: These ingredients are minerals with a light-reflecting effect, which helps diffuse the appearance of dark circles. Because these minerals are crushed up and used in skin care products, the shards may irritate some peoples’ eyes.

Olay Regenerist Eye Cream Quality of Ingredients

Olay Regenerist Eye Cream could contain anything. There’s no definitive answer from this company, or someone who has used the product as to what the active ingredients are—much less any filler ingredients, binding agents or anything else one might find in an eye cream.

For all the good that’s in Olay Regenerist, the entire formula isn’t exactly clean. It’s definitely a tradeoff with some of the drug store brands, that there may be some filler ingredients and preservatives along with the more nourishing ingredients like green tea or cucumber.

For one, dimethecone is a silicone product, which works to conceal pores and make skin look smoother. This ingredient is not unsafe, but any stretch of the imagination, but, it may cause clogged pores or acne, as skin doesn’t get a chance to breathe.

Additionally, this product contains petroleum and parabens, which pose more potential risk to consumers than dimethecone. These ingredients are present in a number of skin care products, but may potentially have a carcinogenic effect on the body, as the skin absorbs products—especially in more delicate areas like under the eyes.

The Price and Quality of Olay Regenerist Eye Cream

Olay Regenerist Eye Cream is sold through a number of channels. You can find Olay products at stores like Walgreens, Walmart and CVS, as well as on Amazon and other e-commerce platforms.

Unlike many competing brands, Olay has an e-commerce platform where users can buy direct. Unfortunately, it looks like Olay Regenerist Eye Cream is no longer available through the platform. No word on why, or if the cream is coming back in stock, but Olay does have a range of similar products within the same price point.

Users who wish to try this specific product may have better luck on Amazon, where they can purchase a 0.5 oz. tube for $27.99.

The price is pretty reasonable, given that eye creams can get pretty expensive, but we’re not in love with the formula and reviews were pretty mixed here.

That said, Olay Regenerist Eye Cream has won some awards and appears to be a fan-favorite.

Business of Olay Regenerist Eye Cream

Olay Regenerist Eye Cream is made by the company, Olay. Here is their contact information, along with some background:

Phone: 800-285-5170

Olay is a well-known brand that has been around since the 1930s. These days, the company makes a number of affordable skin care solutions from cleansers and moisturizers to anti-aging solutions.

Olay is a reliable brand—consumers need not worry much about quality or safety, but it is worth pointing out their products are not always made with the cleanest or highest quality ingredients.

Olay Regenerist Eye Cream, nor any other Olay product, are really designed for the natural products enthusiasts, but they do provide some affordable solutions for people looking for simple and relatively effective anti-aging products.

Olay Regenerist Eye Cream is part of an anti-aging line, but may have been discontinued. It’s unclear why, but users can find several different eye creams that target different concerns—dark circles, puffiness, crow’s feet and more.

Customer Opinions of Olay Regenerist Eye Cream

Olay Regenerist Eye Cream has a large number of reviews, highlighting different experiences across the board. This product may work well for some people, but it seems that allergic reactions happened with relative frequency.

Here’s a look at some of the comments people shared.

“This eye cream caused an allergic reaction around my eye and a burning pain on my eyeballs. Aside from that, it didn’t make my skin look any better. It’s not a lot of money, but I still consider it a waste. Too bad.”

“This product made my eyes water and sting. I may be allergic to it, but I’m not sure why. All I know is, an eye cream should not cause your eyes to burn. Never found out what it does for wrinkles and fine lines.”

“Initially, I thought this had promise. So many people loved the formula and mentioned it was an effective tool in treating wrinkles and dark circles. A minute after application, my eyes were red and burning.”

“I use this product twice a day and it certainly doesn’t last long. The serum is a little greasy, and it takes some time to absorb into the skin, but it’s affordable and my fine lines are disappearing.”

Unfortunately, results were so mixed, it’s hard to say whether or not this is a good, reliable eye cream. Few reviewers mentioned the formula, which leads us to believe this crowd may not be especially concerned about natural products or the presence of parabens and petroleum products in the blend.

We’re not sure which ingredients caused the irritation some consumers experienced, but it may be due to the presence of mica and titanium dioxide—which some people have trouble with. Additionally, this product contains an awful lot of filler ingredients, rather than containing a large percentage of ingredients that soothe sensitive skin.

Conclusion – Does Olay Regenerist Eye Cream Work?

Olay Regenerist Eye Cream is made by a reputable company, is affordable and has decent reviews, but there’s a lot to be desired when it comes to the formula.

Unfortunately, for all the good reviews we found, there were countless others that reported that Olay Regenerist Eye Cream really irritated the skin under the eyes. Users detailed burning sensations, watery eyes and rashes, and it wasn’t just a one off.

In the end, this product seems just okay. We don’t love the lack of a clean ingredient profile and the fact that the good ingredients are overshadowed by a number of preservatives, silicones and petroleum products that consumers may be better off avoiding.

Additionally, while this product is still available through Amazon and Walmart, among other retailers, it’s unclear how long users will be able to purchase this item. It has been removed from the official website with no scheduled return.

Kremovage is made with a solid lineup of high-performance ingredients—peptides, green tea extract, squalane and retinol—all working together to soothe, hydrate and regenerate skin cells from the inside out.

This stuff burnt my skin around my eyes from the very the first times I used it, thought I might of used too much or that it was supossed to sting so I used it twice after that. NEVER again will I be using it! The skin under and around my eyes HURT so bad from it, it’s constant pain/ soreness like a major sunburn and it’s worse in the shower and when I touch my face. I haven’t used it in 3 days and my skin is STILL on fire! I Would not recommend this product . Disappointed
